Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Prototype Gameplay Leaks Online

Ah, the leaked prototype of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare! A blast from the past indeed, 10 years ago to be precise. As a gamer who remembers the thrill of Modern Warfare 2 and 3, it’s fascinating to see where it all started for Sledgehammer Games with this Phantoms prototype.

Online, a sneak peek at the preliminary gameplay for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, under the working title Phantoms, has been illegally distributed, featuring approximately 17 minutes of video.

The new gameplay footage comes from YouTuber Alpha Archive, who has uploaded nearly 17 minutes of gameplay footage to his YouTube channel. The footage is from the single-player mission “Fission” and was codenamed “Fusion” when it was in development. You can watch the gameplay below:

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the behind-the-scenes glimpse of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which was still 18 months away from its official release on November 4, 2014. The footage I’ve seen is using Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 assets as temporary stand-ins. While the new content isn’t fully revealed yet, just catching a sneak peek of this global gaming powerhouse in development is absolutely captivating.

2014 saw the launch of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, developed by Sledgehammer Games, led by Glen Schofield, Michael Condrey, and Bret Robbins. This was the first major Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer, with them gaining recognition mainly due to their collaboration with Infinity Ward on Modern Warfare 3 previously.

For the first time in the series, the new game incorporated exosuits, enabling players to perform powerful jumps and boosts. This marked a significant departure from the traditional gameplay style that Call of Duty was recognized for during that period.

Advanced Warfare was released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
