As a seasoned Call of Duty player with years of gaming under my belt, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the return of Prop Hunt in Black Ops 6! The hide-and-seek party mode was one of my favorites from Black Ops Cold War and I can’t wait to see what Treyarch has in store for us this time around.
The developer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Treyarch Studios, has announced that the popular party mode, Prop Hunt, will make a comeback with the game’s Season 1 Reloaded update. The initial season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to debut on November 14, brimming with fresh content to explore. However, those eager to play Prop Hunt will have to wait until the mid-season update, which typically arrives around a month after the season’s launch.
In less than a week’s time, the much-anticipated releases of Black Ops 6 and its companion game, Warzone , will be upon us. Publisher Activision has given fans a sneak peek into what they can expect with an extensive blog post detailing all the new content set to arrive for both games. This includes a fresh Warzone map named Area 99, an array of new weapons and game modes, making Season 1 a significant update for the recently launched shooter. Additionally, starting from November 14, Black Ops 6 will merge with Warzone, allowing players to bring their leveled-up weapons, characters, and new omnimovement abilities directly into the free-to-play Battle Royale title.
Prop Hunt Returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1
According to the latest blog post and roadmap for Black Ops 6, Treyarch is reintroducing a popular multiplayer mode: Prop Hunt. Previously featured in Black Ops Cold War, this game involves players choosing between being Props or Hunters. The Props aim to disguise themselves as objects within the map, while the Hunters are tasked with locating and eliminating the hidden props before time expires. Unfortunately, it seems that the mode won’t be accessible at the start of Season 1 but will instead be added in an update during the mid-season.
The specific date for the mid-season update hasn’t been confirmed yet, but historically it appears about a month after the game launch. If things remain the same, we might expect Season 1 Reloaded around Thursday, December 12. However, this is just speculation as Activision or Treyarch have not officially confirmed this date and are unlikely to do so until closer to the release.
Thankfully, there’s still plenty of other content to check out in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 before the mid-season update. Multiplayer fans will have a plethora of new weapons to check out at launch, including the Krig C, Saug, Sirin 9mm, and more, as well as three new maps: Hideout, Extraction, and Heirloom, with even more coming in Season 1 Reloaded. As for Warzone players, expect a huge overhaul to the game’s UI and gameplay with the introduction of omnimovement, a new prestige system, body shields, streamlined inventory management, mastery camos, emotes, and much more.
For those who thrive on competition, Treyarch has announced that the Ranked Play mode for Black Ops 6 will become available on November 21. In this mode, players can climb through diverse Skill Divisions to unlock a wealth of unique rewards.
