How to unlock Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6
As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran, I can attest to the allure and intricacies of the Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6. The journey through these camo grinds is akin to an epic quest, filled with challenges that test your skills and patience.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Mastery Camos serve as a primary method for player advancement. By diligently using each weapon available in the game, they can gradually unlock these unique camouflages as rewards.
As I delve deeper into the process of mastering my in-game arsenal, I’m gradually learning every nook and cranny of the weapons I wield. Once I’ve honed my skills, I can customize each weapon with specialized Mastery Camos. These unique cosmetic additions not only make my gear stand out but also highlight the distinct design of the chosen camo pattern.
In Black Ops 6, there are two unique camouflage progressions that can be challenging and perplexing simultaneously.
For a smoother experience unlocking all Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6, have a look at the guide provided below.
What are the Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6?
To start with, let’s clarify the criteria for achieving a Mastery Camo in Black Ops 6. In both Multiplayer and Zombie modes, there are four unique Mastery Camos that players can earn. Here they are:
Multiplayer
- Gold
- Diamond
- Dark Spine
- Dark Matter
Zombies
- Mystic Gold
- Opal
- Afterlife
- Nebula
Once you achieve the Mastery Camouflage for a weapon in Black Ops 6, you’re able to apply it consistently to that particular weapon across both multiplayer and Zombie modes. Notably, these camos aren’t confined to a single game mode, extending even to Warzone.
Instead of all Mastery Camos being unlocked simultaneously across all weapons, they are earned individually per weapon. This step-by-step approach might create some confusion, so let’s delve deeper into the unlocking process for each weapon.
How to unlock Mastery Camos in Black Ops 6
In every instance – be it multiplayer or Zombies mode in Black Ops 6 – the initial unlocking procedure for each weapon is identical.
To begin unlocking extra camouflages in a multiplayer setting, first, ensure you’ve successfully unlocked the initial set of camo patterns.
- Granite
- Woodland
- Savanna
- Splinter
- Moss
- Saboteur
- Digital
- Tide
- Red Tiger
In most instances, you can unveil these camouflages by achieving 100 headshots with each individual weapon. However, there are exceptions: the launchers and melee weapons necessitate 100 destruction/kills per weapon instead. Along your journey towards the 100th shot/kill, you’ll unlock nine distinct camouflage patterns at various stages.
Zombies feature the same basic unlock process, but with different camos and challenges:
- Slate
- Desert
- Evergreen
- Grim
- Stripe
- Oceanic
- Whiteout
- Purple Tiger
As a passionate gamer, I’ve noticed an interesting difference in how I unlock the initial camouflage for my weapons in Zombies mode. Typically, I need to accumulate 1,000 critical kills with each weapon. But when it comes to launchers and melee weapons, things take a bit of a twist – instead, I just need to rack up 2,000 regular kills with them. It’s a fun twist that adds a bit of variety to the gameplay!
Once you’ve climbed through the early “Military Camouflages,” you progress to the “Special Camouflages.” In Black Ops 6, there are two distinct “Special Camouflages” for each weapon, which can be earned by accomplishing certain tasks or challenges.
No weapon has the same two Special Camo challenges but are often tailored to the individual weapon.
For instance, achieving 15 long-range kills with the LR 7.62 sniper rifle is necessary to unlock one specific camouflage in multiplayer, whereas the XM4 assault rifle’s camo can be unlocked by racking up kills without receiving damage. Generally, the special camouflages can be obtained relatively effortlessly, but certain ones demand playing in a particular style.
After obtaining Special Camouflages for a weapon in Black Ops 6 multiplayer, aim to achieve the Gold or Mystic Gold Camo next. To obtain the Gold Camo, earn double kills (two kills within 30 seconds) with every weapon ten times. In Zombies mode, you’ll need to accumulate fifteen rapid kills (10 or more) to unlock the Mystic Gold Camo.
Once you’ve achieved Gold or Mystic Gold enhancement for your weapon, the subsequent stages are Opal and then Diamond, with an additional pair of Mastery Camos following. The steps to unlock these Mastery Camo levels are outlined below:
Diamond/Opal | Available after getting Gold/Mystic Gold on every weapon in a category. Unlocked by earning three killstreaks in multiplayer or special zombie eliminations in Zombies with 33 weapons. |
Dark Spine/Afterlife | Available after getting Diamond/Opal on 33 weapons in Black Ops 6. Unlocked by getting three tiple kills in multiplayer or 20 consecutive kills without taking damage 10 times in Zombies with 33 weapons. |
Dark Matter/Nebula | Available after getting Dark Spine/Afterlife on 33 weapons in Black Ops 6. Unlocked by getting three five killstreaks in multiplayer or 10 elite zombie eliminations in Zombies with 33 weapons. |
