As a dedicated gamer who’s been through numerous Call of Duty titles and binge-watched Squid Game more times than I care to admit, standing amidst the neon lights of New York City at the Call of Duty x Squid Game event was nothing short of surreal. The anticipation was palpable, like waiting for Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds to load on a potato PC.

The unveiling of the crossover game modes sent a jolt of adrenaline through me, reminiscent of the first time I played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The thought of combining the intense, high-stakes action of Call of Duty with the nerve-wracking tension and intricate mechanics of Squid Game is a match made in gaming heaven.

The idea of squaring off against other players in iconic locations like Frontline or Verdansk while playing traditional Squid Game games like Red Light, Green Light or Dalgona Challenge brought a childlike excitement bubbling up inside me. It’s like the ultimate gaming crossover event – it’s Tekken vs Street Fighter level hype!

But let’s not forget the real kicker here – I can finally live out my fantasy of being in a high-stakes, life or death battle while wearing tracksuits and playing with plastic toys. Who knew that the most dangerous game would involve so many paper airplanes?

Now, if only they could work on incorporating the infamous Squid Game soundtrack into the game… I can just imagine the satisfaction of eliminating my opponent as the haunting tune of “Gangnam Style” plays in the background. Talk about a perfect blend of nostalgia and adrenaline!
