Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone – All Season 1 Reloaded Weapons Changes

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 & Warzone - All Season 1 Reloaded Weapons Changes

As a seasoned Warzone veteran with countless hours spent looting, shooting, and surviving, I must say these weapon balance changes have certainly shaken things up!

In the world of Call of Duty, each new season or mid-season update brings about an array of tweaks to weapons. And just like previous titles, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded are following suit. The purpose behind these alterations is to level the playing field, thus offering a more diverse selection of weapon options.

For each game title boasting its exclusive selection of weapons, it’s crucial to keep up-to-date with any changes to make the most of your arsenal configurations. In this regard, let me share all the weapon enhancements and adjustments that have been rolled out in both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded.

In the initial stage of Black Ops 6 and Warzone, we enter a trial period where game creators test out fresh content and firearms. During this phase, developers often make significant adjustments to weapons, either boosting underperforming ones (buffs) or reducing overly strong ones (nerfs). This is done to encourage the use of less popular weapons while ensuring a fair balance among those that are too powerful or have too much influence, ultimately leading to a more diverse and exciting arsenal.

Black Ops 6 is expected to roll out a significant weapon adjustment for its collection of weapons, yet this update won’t be part of the Season 1 Reloaded release. Instead, it will arrive “shortly after launch” to tackle key issues raised by the community. Meanwhile, they’ve disclosed some “major modifications” that are in store for the game.

  • Headshot damage improvements on full-auto weapons
  • Full removal of idle sway at the start of ADS on Sniper Rifles
  • Reductions to visual recoil, sway, and bob

In the popular game “Warzone,” the developers have introduced several major updates aimed at refreshing the gameplay dynamics, or as we might say, spicing up the strategy. Since the game’s inventory includes weapons from past titles such as “MW2” and “MW3,” these changes have been made to ensure a wider variety and balanced choice for players. You can find all the enhancements and tweaks in the game detailed below:

Changes To Black Ops 6 Weapons In Warzone

  • Full removal of idle sway at the start of ADS on Sniper Rifles
  • Reductions to visual recoil, sway, and bob

Initially added in the game Modern Warfare 2, these modifications have been sought by the gaming community to enhance the quickscoping experience with Sniper Rifles and make their handling feel more seamless and less cumbersome. Importantly, these changes will be exclusive to weapons in Black Ops 6. This could potentially lead players to favor weapons from this title over others if they perceive a marked improvement after the update has been implemented.

    • Lower Torso and Leg modifiers decreased from 1x to 0.96x
    • Bullet Velocity decreased from 500m/s to 470m/s

Assault Rifles are popular for managing distant fights because of their ease of use and effectiveness. The XM4 and Model L, for example, have reduced recoil for better precision. To make them even better, the speed at which the bullets are fired has been increased – this improves the accuracy of hits, a crucial aspect in combat situations at a distance like those found in Warzone.

Moreover, we’ve made separate adjustments to the damage ranges of some underperforming weapons to better align them with the current game meta. The BP50, a weapon frequently chosen for close-quarter battles and used as sniper backup since Modern Warfare 3, has been toned down, potentially opening opportunities for alternative weapons such as Submachine Guns to take its place in the game rotation.

Static-HV (MW3)

  • Headshot modifier decreased from 1.2x to 1.15x
  • Upper Torso, Lower Torso, and Arm modifiers decreased from 1.1x to 1x

Small and portable firearms (SMGs) shine in tight combat situations where agility and swiftness are crucial for victory. Although they usually perform well in these aspects, they’ve faced challenges with reach and damage on body extremities, often appearing weaker than alternatives like Shotguns, especially during close-to-mid range battles. However, powerful alternatives such as the Static-HV and Striker from Modern Warfare 3 were slightly weakened, forcing players to aim for headshots or upper body shots for maximum impact in gameplay.

  • Maximum Damage Range increased from 30m to 40m
  • Minimum Damage decreased from 30 to 20
  • Minimum Damage Range increased from >30m to >40m

In Season 1, powerhouse selections such as the RAAL MG (from Modern Warfare 2) were renowned for their high damage and ample magazine sizes. However, these popular picks have experienced substantial reductions in damage output, even though they offer versatility over a range of distances. To counterbalance the natural heft and slower maneuverability of LMGs relative to other weapon categories, their aim-down-sights speed has been enhanced. Furthermore, modifications to extremity damage have been made to ensure that combat encounters feel more uniform.

Marksman Rifle Balance Changes In Warzone

All Black Ops 6 Marksman Rifles

  • Reload speeds increased by 12%

AEK-973

  • Bullet Velocity increased from 860m/s to 900m/s

DM-10

  • Bullet Velocity increased from 830m/s to 870m/s

Tsarkov 7.62

  • Bullet Velocity increased from 875m/s to 915m/s

Just as Assault Rifles are designed for intense battles at longer ranges, Marksman Rifles are similarly built to excel in such situations. Although some models, such as the AEK-973, have earned a place in the game, problems with accurate hit registration over long distances have remained an issue. The increase in bullet speed is expected to enhance their effectiveness in these situations, making them more dependable for precise, long-range fights.

  • Maximum Damage decreased from 50 to 28
  • Maelstrom Dual Trigger
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 100 to 50

When designing your setup, don’t shy away from trying out unconventional options that might not have been as potent or widely used before.
