Call of Duty confirm classic Verdansk map returns to Warzone

As a die-hard Call of Duty fan who has witnessed the rise and fall (and rise again!) of Verdansk, I can hardly contain my excitement about this announcement! The return of the most legendary Warzone map ever created is like a breath of fresh air after Caldera, Al Mazrah, and Urzikstan. It’s been years since we last saw Verdansk in its glory, and I can still remember the thrill of those early days when it debuted in 2020.

It was unexpectedly announced during CoD Next that Verdansk will make a comeback in Spring 2025 within Warzone. Some viewers might be taken aback, as they were anticipating the broadcast to center around Area 99, but those who have been following rumors and leaks for months already knew about its potential return.

Without a doubt, Verdansk stands as one of the most beloved Warzone maps in history, frequently acknowledged as a key factor contributing to the extraordinary success that Call of Duty Battle Royale enjoyed upon its release in 2020.

Ever since they were introduced to Caldera, Al Mazrah, and Urzikstan as expansive Warzone maps, none have garnered the same level of affection as Verdansk. With each new Call of Duty release, fans have clamored for the return of Verdansk, and their wishes will be granted in 2025.

In simpler terms, during the preview for CoD Next, they shared some updates about the future of Warzone. This includes modifications to Perks, adjustments in the way we gather loot, and new Mastery Camos. Towards the end of the Warzone segment, it was mentioned that Verdansk will be launched in Spring 2025.

At the moment, we don’t have much detailed info besides the fact that an update for Verdansk is coming; the specific features or timeframe are still under wraps.

As a gamer, I’m super excited about this! It looks like Verdansk is making a comeback as part of Black Ops 6’s game cycle. That’s why we won’t be getting a massive new map for Warzone when Season 1 of BO6 drops. Instead, we’ll be diving into the fresh Resurgence map, Area 99, right from launch. Verdansk is set to return in the Spring!

Although the specific release month or day has yet to be announced, it’s expected that Black Ops 6 Season 3 or Season 4 will fall within Spring 2025. As soon as there’s more information regarding the return of Verdansk, we’ll make sure to keep you updated.

Just after the arrival of the famous map, you’ll find yourself occupied with the Warzone Battle Royale Ranked Play on Urzikstan, which kicks off with Black Ops 6 Season 1.
