Call of Duty: Future Warfare Beta Build Leaks Online

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that stumbling upon the leaked beta build for Call of Duty: Future Warfare has been nothing short of a nostalgia trip. The resemblance to Call of Duty: Ghosts is uncanny, and it’s fascinating to see what could have been had this project not been scrapped back in 2013.

Back in January, footage emerged of a scrapped Call of Duty project that Neversoft had been planning to release in 2013. Known as ‘Future Warfare’ and internally referred to as ‘NX1’, some gameplay clips from this title have been leaked online over the past few months.

Currently, a complete pre-release version of Call of Duty: Future Warfare for Xbox 360 has been found online. This discovery was made by vigilant Reddit users, who shared pictures and videos of the game on various social media platforms, lamenting its unfortunate disappearance from our gaming landscape.

‘Prototype Ghosts’

The leaks from January and those more recent ones seem remarkably like Call of Duty: Ghosts, a game that came out in 2013. Noteworthy is that Neversoft, while not the main studio, was involved in the development of Call of Duty: Ghosts; the primary developer being Infinite Ward.

That might go some way to explaining why there are a few resemblances between the two games.

On the Reddit forum dedicated to Gaming Leaks and Rumors, visual content such as images and videos surfaced, revealing a leaked beta version of a game. Due to the site’s terms of service, no download links were shared. Instead, within the ensuing discussion, users offered guidance on locating and downloading the build. If you choose to follow this advice, please proceed with great caution.

From the leaks in January, we discovered various map names, game modes, and a glimpse into the story’s background. However, this project was ultimately abandoned. Before its cancellation, Neversoft managed to create several single-player missions and some multiplayer content.
