In just a few weeks, Activision might unveil the plan for the Call of Duty League in 2025. The anticipation for this competitive system’s arrival has been heightened by the triumph of Black Ops 6, which is resonating with both amateur and expert gamers alike.

For the upcoming season, it has been proposed that Activision will introduce a new tier, referred to as ‘Minors’, in addition to the current ‘Majors’ structure.

Going to Europe

A highly anticipated rumor, nearly set in stone, is that the 2025 Call of Duty League season will make its return to Europe after a long hiatus. The opening Major is tentatively scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain, with Toronto Ultra serving as hosts. Here’s a possible schedule for the 2025 Call of Duty League season:

According to Breaking Point’s announcement, Activision plans to organize a series of ‘Minor’ tournaments leading up to the 2025 season. These single events will award a $20,000 prize to the victor and provide professional players with an additional chance to accumulate CDL points.

Currently, there’s chatter suggesting that Minor events are being scheduled parallel to Majors I and II as a kind of ‘trial run’. Allegedly, a Minor event would feature all twelve CDL teams competing online over a span of four days.

BP additionally mentioned that an impressive total of 246 contests is planned for this year’s season, which could be one of the highest numbers in the history of Call of Duty esports. This lineup will consist of 160 online events, 72 major tournaments, and 14 post-season matches.
