Call of Duty Pro Players Are Being Banned From Black Ops 6 Live on Stream

As a longtime Call of Duty enthusiast with countless hours logged into Black Ops series, I can’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu as I watch the unfolding drama surrounding the beta of Black Ops 6. The anti-cheat system, which has always been a bone of contention among players, seems to have taken a step back in the wrong direction this time around.

Currently, the beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is active and millions are experiencing its swift, smooth gameplay. It’s an impressive beta with lots to explore, but it does come with some significant concerns. One such issue revolves around the anti-cheat measures in place, which seem to have become somewhat problematic recently.

During gaming sessions, some top Call of Duty professionals, including the recent world champion Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro, have encountered bans and were forcefully ejected from the game.

Same Old Issues

It’s unfortunate that this isn’t a novel problem for Call of Duty gamers. It’s widely recognized that the automated systems behind Call of Duty’s anti-cheat measures aren’t perfect, and they may wrongly ban players if they’re reported frequently. The one positive aspect is that these bans are usually temporary and can be appealed, but it does reflect poorly on Activision when popular streamers are affected.

Over the past few hours, players such as Cloud9’s KiSMET and OpTic Texas’ Shotzzy have been temporarily suspended from playing Black Ops 6.

Interestingly, even before its official release, Black Ops 6’s beta version is facing a wave of cheating incidents. Numerous clips on social media platforms show hackers exploiting the game, causing legitimate players significant disruption. This isn’t exactly reassuring, considering the game is set to launch in just under two months.
