As a long-time Call of Duty: Warzone fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that Superstore, the fan-favorite location from the original Verdansk map, is making its triumphant return in Season 5 on July 24. The nostalgia hit me hard as I recalled countless hours spent looting and battling it out at this iconic POI.

In simple terms, starting July 24, the beloved Superstore from the initial Verdansk map of Warzone will make a comeback in the Battle Royale game, as announced by Activision.

As a dedicated gamer and long-time follower of the Call of Duty franchise, I can’t help but get excited whenever there are rumors or official announcements about upcoming seasons, especially when it comes to Warzone. The last few days have been particularly intriguing, with very little information coming out regarding Season 5. However, a small glimmer of hope emerged yesterday when the Call of Duty official account on X (formerly Twitter) dropped a hint that left fans buzzing.

“Check out the freshly opened Atlas Superstore branch in Urzikstan by visiting us for fantastic finds, enticing Fire Sales, and exceptional customer service, as announced in our latest X post,” the studio expressed in a recent update. To get a sneak peek of the renovated Superstore, fans can refer to the video below.

Based on a discovery made by Isaac, a Call of Duty content creator, it seems that the Superstore will be situated to the south of the Orlov Military Base Point of Interest (POI), which is found in the northeastern part of Urzikstan.

As an avid fan, I’ve been thrilled about the upcoming new season of Superstore. However, it seems that the highly anticipated Verdansk return to Call of Duty: Warzone isn’t happening as soon as we had hoped. Initially, rumors and leaks hinted at Verdansk making its comeback by the end of 2024. But more recent information from a trusted source indicates that this timeline has been pushed back to 2025 instead.

Based on information from sources BobNetworkUK and Tom Henderson, it appears that Verdansk will make a comeback in Warzone around the midpoint of Black Ops 6’s lifecycle. Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25th. According to Tom Henderson’s report for Insider Gaming, Verdansk was initially not planned to reappear in Warzone. However, Activision was inspired by the popularity of Fortnite’s original map and decided to bring back Verdansk to boost player engagement.

Despite no official confirmation from Activision regarding the return of Verdansk, they are keeping the map alive by reviving Superstore as a fresh attraction on Warzone’s present Battle Royale map: Urzikstan. Additionally, Activision has previously resurrected Rebirth Island, a fan-favorite Resurgence map in the game.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the recent announcement that Superstore is making its comeback, even if Verdansk is yet to officially return to the gaming scene.
