Tight Corridors and a Lacking Wonder Weapon Make This Atmospheric Map a Challenge

In the play named “Five,” key political figures such as Castro, Nixon, and JFK perform on a stage hidden within the Pentagon. Although Five offers a deeper exploration of political intrigue and enigmas, the map within has been a subject of debate due to its narrow hallways and scarcity of open spaces that allow for zombie training without swift overrun.
The Five’s Wonder Weapon, Winter’s Howl, is both powerful and feeble, often leaving players struggling during high rounds. They may find themselves trapped or outgunned due to the Pentagon Thief, which steals weapons. Although Five has an intriguing atmosphere, many players yearn for more complexity in its level design.
5 Shangri-La
Traps and Unique Zombie Types Create a Hardened Experience

Exploring the lush jungles of Shangri-La offers a fresh gaming environment. This map is teeming with ambiance and careful design, yet its creative aspects are unquestionable, it’s the mechanics that may become frustrating over time, particularly when teamed with random players.
Shangri-La is one of the select maps where teamwork among all players is crucial to activate Pack-a-Punch, not just once but every time someone desires to use it. Monkeys swiping power-ups can be intriguing yet quite annoying in longer rounds, and the traps scattered across the map disrupt strategic locations, while also being frequently disrupted by napalm and banshee zombies.
4 TranZit
A Map Divided With Lava and Fog Which Makes Accessibility Difficult

In the annals of Call of Duty: Zombies, TranZit stands out as a map that’s sparked intense debates among players. Some adore it, while others express strong dislike towards it. The design of this map was bold and visionary, but its potential was hampered by the Black Ops 2 engine on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Large sections of the map were shrouded in fog, making it difficult for players who dared to run outside the bus. Those hesitant to navigate the map without the safety of the bus risked being stranded if they missed their ride, leaving them waiting a considerable amount of time before it reappears.
In simpler terms, while Transit boasted unique features such as customizable workstations, it fell short in providing engaging content, such as the Jet Gun which was craftable but often proved to be a disappointing use of resources. Beyond its striking desolate landscape, there are numerous aspects that could benefit from modern upgrades. However, for many players, the map remains steeped in nostalgia, even if it can sometimes be challenging.
3 Die Rise
A Vertical Map Where a Wrong Turn Ensures Death

In Die Rise, Call of Duty Zombies takes a leap into the vertical realm, offering towering structures reminiscent of Towers of Doom. Here, players engage in intense battles against relentless hordes of zombies while navigating treacherous heights that could potentially lead to their demise. The unforgiving horde of undead and the constant need to be cautious about one’s footing or face a fatal fall can make for an exhilarating but exhausting gaming experience, often resulting in an abrupt end to the game.
For the Call of Duty: Zombies community, The Rise was a period filled with tension as they worried that the beloved game mode might be running out of ideas, veering off in less successful creative directions. Despite intriguing mechanics and an exceptional Wonder Weapon called the Sliquifier, The Rise proved too challenging for casual gamers and disappointingly lacking for dedicated fans who missed the perks of PhD Flopper and grew weary of repeated deaths.
2 Alpha Omega
A Remake of a Smaller Map, Where Nova Crawlers Make For a Bad Time

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, there were several maps that stirred up quite a debate among players. However, it’s fair to say that Alpha Omega stands out as the most notable. This map marks the first time the Ultimis and Primis teams were united, sending players to Camp Edward. Essentially, this was an extended version of the Nuketown Zombies remake. For some, it fell short of expectations, but for others, it presented a thrilling test of skills.
As a devoted fan, I must say that Alpha Omega’s enhanced versions of the Ray Gun MK2 were an absolute blast to wield, and the narrative keeps me hooked if I’m invested. However, the map design feels cramped and challenging to navigate, and the Nova Crawlers have received some powerful upgrades that can swiftly tip the scales in favor of the undead. These creatures are so potent that it seems risky to delve too deep into the sub-levels below the map for fear of encountering one that amplifies zombie strength.
1 Revelations
A Celebration of COD Zombies in One Giant Map, But Perhaps With Too Much to Do

As a dedicated fan, I found myself immersed in the grand finale of the Primis saga, unfolding within the walls of the House. The task at hand was monumental – we had to vanquish an ancient menace that had haunted us throughout this epic tale. The anticipation leading up to Revelations was palpable, and the promise it held was electrifying. What we were given, however, surpassed all expectations. It was a triumphant tribute to Call of Duty: Zombies, a journey that spanned from World at War to Black Ops 3. Nearly every map made an appearance, either directly or indirectly, making it a veritable reunion of the Zombies universe.
Some people appreciate that Revelations combines various Zombies maps from the past, while others don’t share the same sentiment. The blend of Wonder Weapons, settings, and backstory makes for an exciting map, but it lacks in replay value due to its massive size and lengthy preparations required for easter eggs and bonuses.
