Currently, the responsibility lies with the Holy Knights, and it appears they may retain their position. Yet, Nico Robin and Scopper Gaban could potentially intervene. Oda has planned a significant battle for these characters, which will probably unfold in the upcoming chapter. The crucial point is, do they have the power to overcome the Holy Knights and rescue Elbaf?

Nico Robin’s Biggest Test To Date

Nico Robin’s challenging upbringing fostered a strong mental fortitude within her. She’s managed to navigate through numerous tough scenarios independently, but the Holy Knights present an entirely new challenge. These warriors serve the World Government, and they are willing to go to great lengths to preserve its reputation. Not only are they powerful, but they also exhibit cruel and sadistic tendencies. Consequently, Robin faces a significant challenge dealing with them.

Robin’s most recent significant battle occurred in Wano, where she squared off against Black Maria, who belonged to the Tobi Roppo. Aware that ordinary tactics wouldn’t work against Black Maria, Robin devised a novel strategy to vanquish the Tobi Roppo.

Who Will Be Robin’s Opponent In Elbaf?

In the land of Elbaf, it seems that Robin’s adversary will be Sommers. This individual holds the Iba Iba no Mi, a Devil Fruit of the Paramecia class, which grants the ability to generate prickly vines. Sommers utilized this power to overpower Jaguar D. Saul, who has significantly influenced Robin’s life. For a long time, Robin assumed that Saul had perished, but this notion was shattered on Egghead Island. After a lengthy wait, the two were finally reunited in Elbaf. Regrettably, their joyous reunion was abruptly interrupted by Sommers. Although overmatched, Saul made every effort to defeat Sommers, but it proved insufficient. Despite her urge to aid him, Robin was instructed to remain concealed by Saul himself.

Robin’s Battle With Sommers Will Be Enthralling

Instead of keeping quiet any longer, Robin feels compelled to act. After all, she’s avoided Saul for quite some time now, and she won’t allow anyone to harm him in front of her. However, Robin might require an enhancement to face Sommers effectively. It seems likely that the upgrade will be Armament Haki. If Robin manages to master this ability, her Devil Fruit’s power could make her a formidable adversary. With her unique ability to grow any part of her body, if she armors those parts with Haki, even Sommers might struggle to handle her.

Should Oda choose to be benevolent, he might bestow upon her the ability to awaken a Devil Fruit. To date, only one member of the Straw Hat Pirates has activated this power – Luffy. Robin is undeniably among the stronger crew members and is certainly due for an upgrade in abilities. With the newfound skill, she would indeed pose a challenge for Sommers, but it’s doubtful that she could defeat him alone.

Robin Might Receive Back-Up

In the recent chapter, it was revealed that Scopper Gaban intends to confront the Holy Knights, as he’s on his way to their location following news about Collun’s abduction. Given his extensive combat history in One Piece, it’s clear that Gaban won’t shy away from a fight against the Holy Knights.

Gaban possesses remarkable speed and tremendous physical power for his age, and he’s adept at using both Armament and Observation Haki, particularly in detecting hidden presences like the Holy Knights. In a potential fight against Sommers, Gaban would take on Gunko, making for an intriguing matchup given Gunko’s Aro Aro no Mi abilities that make it hard to evade attacks. Observation Haki is expected to be pivotal in this battle. However, even the team-up of Gaban and Robin might not be enough to overcome two Holy Knights. Backup will likely be required.
