You must experience defeat twice before you can opt for a rematch in Easy Mode, where Mario and Luigi will have enhanced strength compared to usual. After your first loss, you’ll either be allowed to restart or go back to the main menu.
If you attempt the ongoing battle again on the “Easy Mode” and still find yourself losing, the game will give you the option to reduce the difficulty further to “Cakewalk”. This makes it easier for the mustached duo, enabling even novice players to easily overcome most of the enemy encounters.
After completing the battle, the game difficulty will automatically return to Standard. If players wish to adjust the difficulty level lower, they can do so by losing the battle intentionally. Although this method might not be the most straightforward approach to make the game easier, players have the flexibility to modify the difficulty, although it may not be initially clear how to do so.
