In the game ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition’, your character’s level influences the kind of gear and Skells you can utilize. If you aim to conquer superbosses or continue leveling up after the main story, it would be beneficial to focus on increasing your party’s levels. The maximum level in ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition’ has been adjusted from its original version on the Wii U.
It doesn’t matter whether you prefer to progress slowly or quickly; it’s best to match your character’s level with the storyline missions. This way, you’ll find it simpler to participate in most Affinity Missions as they get unlocked.
Max Level in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
Can You Level to 100?
In the remastered edition of “Xenoblade Chronicles X,” known as the “Definitive Edition,” the highest character level achievable is an impressive 99. This is significantly higher than the original game from 2015, where the max level was only 60. During the initial stages of the game’s narrative, progression may feel sluggish and monotonous due to slow experience gain. Fortunately, there are some tactics for rapidly accumulating experience points. One popular method is by employing the Brainjack and Servant Sacrifice abilities from the Psycorruptor Class. Use these skills on enemies (not bosses or Tyrants) significantly higher in level than yourself to speed up your character’s advancement.
Once you reach the end-game phase, you’ll discover numerous methods to accumulate experience points. In this stage, you’ll gain access to improved equipment, weapons, and Skells. Make sure to utilize these resources effectively, and leveling up should pose no challenge for you.
Understanding Levels and Ranks
Classes vs. Character Level vs. Skell Level
Beyond your main character and the other party members, there are also Class Ranks and Skell Levels that are distinct from your own level, yet equally important. To access new abilities, you must advance in each of your classes. This is because advancing your class ranks allows you to learn skills and arts.
In each character’s primary roles, the highest rank attainable is a score of 10. The specific role determines whether you’ll gain an Art or Skill, or even both, upon reaching certain milestones. Your progress in these roles is measured by Class Points (CP), rather than Experience Points (XP).
Skell Levels, Explained
In summary, Skells are the massive mechs controlled by BLADE team members in NLA. To begin your Skell exams and obtain a license, you’ll first need to finish Chapter 6. Additionally, anyone operating the Skell must meet the minimum skill level for the specific Skell they choose.
Instead of progressing like your Character Class and Level, Skells possess a predetermined Level and do not gain experience on their own. This means that if you select a Level 30 Skell, it will maintain that level. However, in order to access more powerful Skells, you’ll need to improve Sakuraba Industries Research & Development facilities.
Except for quest-related Skells, Skell levels are:
- 30
- 50
- 60
Essentially, the highest level your party can reach (which is 99) will consistently surpass a Skell’s level. Yet, it doesn’t mean that a Skell’s capabilities should be disregarded. There exist various models and three distinct types of Skells, each tailored for specific battles.
