Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Title Update Adds New Characters and Other Features

At Evo 2025, it was revealed that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 would receive a title update, enhancing the game with additional features, user-friendly improvements, and four extra characters. It’s not surprising to fans that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is getting an upgrade, as the studio has a history of providing post-launch updates with new elements for their previously released collections.

This gathering has undoubtedly struck a chord with enthusiasts of fighting games, due in part to several games featured within it. While not every game in the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 may have been exactly what fans were hoping for, like Capcom Fighting Evolution, the comeback of Capcom vs SNK and its sequel made this bundle quite attractive. However, the debut of the collection appears to be merely the start, as Capcom is planning another major Title Update, and its release date is quickly approaching.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Title Update Adding New Characters

In an unexpected twist reminiscent of extra features added to the post-release version of “Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics”, new content and user-friendly enhancements are being incorporated into “Capcom Fighting Collection 2”.

Beyond what’s already been revealed, Capcom has more in store for the game with this latest Title Update. Not only will there be new artwork and remixed classic tunes in the gallery, but they’re also introducing fresh game modes for Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. These new modes have the power to alter the fight rules. Additionally, the Plasma Sword feature in Training Mode will now show Combo Routes, which can be turned on or off via the game settings.

The recent update offers fans a great chance to explore Ingrid’s skills prior to her inclusion in Street Fighter 6. First appearing in Capcom Fighting Evolution, Ingrid is a character who hasn’t been prominently featured in numerous games. She made an appearance in Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX and was also slated for Capcom Fighting All-Stars before its cancellation. The announcement of her inclusion as part of Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC came as a shock to many fans, given that Capcom hasn’t used her extensively since her last appearance, sparking some surprise and confusion among them.
