At The Game Awards, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was the biggest winner, taking home nine awards. The game was nominated for twelve awards total, including three for Best Performance. Sandfall Interactive’s first game also won the prestigious Game of the Year award. Other games competing for that top prize were Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hades 2, and Death Stranding 2. Wow, The Game Awards were insane last night! Seriously, so many big announcements. I couldn’t believe they revealed two new Tomb Raider games! And a brand new Star Wars Old Republic game? Awesome! I was also super hyped to see that weird desert statue was actually teasing a new Divinity game. But honestly, I almost lost it when Bandai Namco announced a new Ace Combat – I’ve been waiting years for that series to come back!

I’m already getting so hyped for the Winter 2026 anime season, and honestly, all I can think about is the second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End! I can’t wait to see Frieren, Fern, and Stark continue their journey toward Aureole – I’m expecting some seriously tough battles up north! Fern’s really come into her own after becoming a First-Class Mage, and she’s going to be a huge asset. Plus, it’s awesome watching Stark get stronger, and of course, Frieren is still as cool and collected as ever. The first season was incredible – it even got nominated for Anime of the Year, and deservedly so! So many of us fell in love with the characters and the way the story unfolds. It’s not just constant fighting, which is great; it mixes stunning action with these really beautiful, emotional moments that just hit you in the feels.
