Throughout the game, the Dream Nail lets you interact with characters to learn their thoughts and battle the Dream Warriors. You’ll also find strange, tree-like growths called Whispering Roots scattered around Hallownest. Hitting these Roots with the Dream Nail releases Essence, which you can collect. They also display mysterious messages for you to solve. Collecting Essence strengthens the Dream Nail, and the Seer will reward you based on how much you’ve gathered.

However, many open-world games are incredibly detailed and complex. They feature systems that take a long time to learn, choices that have significant and sometimes unexpected consequences, and challenging gameplay elements like intricate combat, extensive building options, or deep character customization. It’s harder than expected to guess which Pokémon will be starter choices in future Pokémon Legends games. The recent announcement of Pokémon Legends: Z-A included two Pokémon from Generation 2 – Chikorita and Totodile – which was a departure from the usual pattern. However, this makes the choices for the next game pretty obvious: the developers seem to be aiming to complete the circle by featuring the remaining starters from the Johto region. Given that the Galar region is the most likely setting for the next Pokémon Legends title, it makes sense that the starters will follow the same pattern as Legends: Z-A.

With console sales down and games taking longer to develop, Microsoft began increasing its gaming income by releasing titles on competing platforms starting in early 2024. The latest move in this strategy is a remake of Halo 1 coming to the PlayStation 5 on the same day it launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2026.

I’ve been following the latest arc in One Piece, called Elbaf, and it’s quickly become a highlight of the entire series for me. It’s part of what everyone’s calling the Final Saga, and so far, it feels really special. Even though it’s still ongoing, it’s already one of the best arcs, in my opinion. Since it started last year, we’ve gotten so many fascinating reveals about the story’s history, especially details about the God Valley Incident that I never expected.
