Just weeks after Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade came to Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was announced for those same consoles. The Switch 2 version was revealed during the February 5 Nintendo Direct, and the Xbox version was announced right after. You can now pre-order Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for $50 on both Switch 2 and Xbox at many stores. If you pre-order the Switch 2 version, you’ll also get a special Zack Fair promo card from the Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy collaboration, while supplies last. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released on Switch 2 and Xbox on June 3.

As a huge PvP fan, I’ve been noticing a ton of extraction shooters popping up lately, and it feels like this genre is really taking off! But what’s exciting is that developers aren’t just sticking to the same old formula of looting and shooting. We’re seeing a lot more creativity, with new games trying out different ideas and even mixing genres together. Some of these are from big names and well-known franchises, while others are from smaller teams trying to make something special. Either way, there are a bunch of really interesting PvP games coming out soon that I definitely have my eye on!

The Resident Evil series has always had a lot of merchandise, like statues and collectibles – it’s typical for popular games. Usually, these items are just for show and don’t impact how you play the game. For example, the Resident Evil Requiem Amiibo and even the unusual chainsaw controller for Resident Evil 4 didn’t change much about the gameplay itself. Recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are finally showcasing the Byakugan’s power, largely due to Boruto Uzumaki. The artist, Ikemoto, had downplayed this important visual ability for a while, but now it’s taking center stage thanks to a surprising team-up between Boruto and Momoshiki Otsutsuki.

HumanitZ is the debut game from indie developer Yodubzz Studios. The team has spent years creating the game, starting development long before its Early Access release in 2023. With the recent launch of the full 1.0 version, the developers announced that after years of work, including two years in Early Access and months of improvements and remastering, HumanitZ is now complete. They also plan to continue adding content, viewing this release as the start of the game’s next phase of development.

If you’re easily scared like me, but still want to enjoy horror games, don’t worry – there are options! These games focus on building a creepy atmosphere and keeping you constantly tense, rather than relying on sudden shocks. Some include chases, which can sometimes lead to startling moments, so be prepared. While most are mostly free of jump scares, a few might have a couple of unexpected surprises, but nothing as intense as games like Outlast.

Information about the next Pokemon games, Generation 10, has been appearing online since a large leak in October 2024, which seems to have come from a security issue at Game Freak. According to the leaked details, the new games will likely be called Pokemon Wind and Wave or Winds and Waves. Experts studying the leaked information believe the games will take place in a region inspired by Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia.

Okay, so you get Essences by beating those Energy Alluvium fights. The enemies there have a chance to drop them, but here’s the cool part: as you level up your Exploration Level, you unlock Severe Energy Alluvium fights. These let you spend Sanity to basically guarantee you get high-rarity Essences. It’s pretty similar to how relics or artifacts work in other gacha games – a way to grind for better gear!

Okay, so I’m super hyped because Pokemon Pokopia is coming out on March 5th! That’s less than a month away! The coolest part? You play as a Ditto who can turn into a human. Apparently, the whole game is about crafting and building stuff, and making friends with Pokemon. The more Pokemon you befriend, the more moves you learn, which helps you build even more and attract even more Pokemon. It sounds like a really chill and satisfying game – basically, you build up your place and become friends with everyone around. I can’t wait!

When you think of the most popular first-person shooter games, a few names always come up. Halo, Half-Life, and Metroid Prime are among the best, and each offers something different. Halo is known for its cooperative story mode and fantastic multiplayer, while Half-Life provides a gripping single-player experience with clever physics puzzles. Metroid Prime focuses on exploration and solving mysteries in alien environments. Despite their differences, all three are top-notch FPS games, which makes it remarkable that new installments of each were released in the same month – November 2004.
