As a devoted fan, I’d like to share some thoughts about a classic game that made a significant impact on my childhood gaming experience – Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Released back in October 1996 for the PlayStation, it was essentially an enhanced version of Mortal Kombat 3, following the footsteps of its predecessor, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, from 1995.

This extraordinary title combined the gameplay mechanics of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with stages and characters from the initial two Mortal Kombat instalments. The game also introduced the “Brutality” finisher mechanic, a feature that allowed for more gruesome and intricate finishing moves, along with the Aggressor bar system, which granted temporary boosts in speed and damage to players.

Later on, Mortal Kombat Trilogy was adapted for various platforms such as the Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, and even Windows PCs, ensuring that a whole new generation of gamers could experience its unparalleled fighting action.

In 2024, the remake of Silent Hill 2 was a huge success, and now, Konami is continuing the Silent Hill series this year with their first mainline game in over two decades – Silent Hill f. In addition, while not all of these stories might be accurate, there are numerous whispers and previews about the upcoming film “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” that suggest an array of thrilling cameos by characters known as super-villains. Furthermore, today we got an official sneak peek at the new suit that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will don in the movie. Interestingly, one rumor has gained some credibility thanks to a set photo, and if the emblem depicted is indeed tied to the character fans speculate it represents, it might be worth revisiting the initial playthrough of Insomniac’s “Marvel’s Spider-Man“.

For the remainder of this year, there are several significant game launches on the horizon, including “The Outer Worlds 2” and “Gears of War: Reloaded”. However, among these, the one that has been eagerly awaited by many veteran gamers is “Ninja Gaiden 4”. However, since Robert Pattinson took up the role in a standalone Batman movie, there hasn’t been a solo Batman theater adventure. Although no official release dates have been set for new Batman projects, fans will be treated to two exciting Batman adventures on the big screen in August.

It might appear unexpected to learn that a powerhouse like Call of Duty feels apprehensive about an impending shooter game, but this information originates from the reliable leaker @TheGhostofHope, who has demonstrated a strong track record with their previous Call of Duty disclosures. The day preceding Battlefield 6’s significant multiplayer event, Hope hinted that DICE’s latest creation had left “Call of Duty feeling uneasy for the first time.” Given what was presented during the event, it’s not hard to see why Call of Duty might be anxious, as a renewed rivalry between the two franchises may be on the horizon.

Initially created by Facepunch Studios, the game known as Rust was first introduced in early access in December 2013, and officially released for PC in February 2018. One distinctive feature of this game is its harsh open world environment, where players start with minimal equipment and must gather resources to survive. They can construct tools, build shelters, and defend themselves against both wild animals and other players within demanding procedurally generated landscapes. Since its launch, Facepunch has consistently improved the game, including a major upgrade for next-generation systems, as well as new features enhancing the player experience, an overhauled mission system, and much more. Now, developers are working on a mobile version of this popular survival title.

Eleven years after their initial launch in September 2014, Electronic Arts (EA) and developer Maxis are approaching the anniversary of The Sims 4. Despite having been released over a decade ago, this game continues to attract substantial player numbers. On Steam alone, as recently as this week, there were over 45,000 concurrent players, not even considering those playing on consoles.
