I’ve been checking out some games that are pretty story-focused, but still let me feel like I’m making the decisions. A lot of games let you build your character, but these ones really let you shape who they are and how the story goes, even though the overall path is pretty set. If you’re looking for something a little less open-world and more focused, but still with a good amount of player choice, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try.
I’ve been playing The Sims 4 since it came out in September 2014, and it’s amazing how consistently the developers have updated it! Sure, all the extra stuff can add up, but for over eleven years, they’ve kept things fresh with new content and ways to play. Just recently, details about their next expansion pack, Royalty and Legacy, slipped out after being rated overseas. It’s a great sign that Maxis and EA are still dedicated to The Sims 4, even though a lot of us are also excited to see what they’re planning for the next big Sims game!
Goku is undeniably one of the most powerful characters in anime history, and he’s become even stronger with Ultra Instinct. However, he’s no longer among the top five strongest characters in the Dragon Ball series—and that’s even without considering the angels. Based on the events at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and the recent manga storyline, Goku, even with Ultra Instinct, is now surpassed in power by his rival, his son, and the next major villain.
It’s really annoying in Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Ranked Battles when opponents Mega Evolve their Pokemon – it stops your attacks and breaks your target lock. Pokemon games have always struggled with line of sight – older 2D games made it hard to avoid unwanted battles, and in Generation 9, you could easily escape trainer battles by moving around other characters. Now, Pokemon Legends: Z-A has the same issue, and many players (myself included) think it’s a silly problem.
Beyond well-known anime, there’s a huge world of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. Whether you enjoy relaxing slice-of-life stories, thrilling action, or futuristic sci-fi, you’re sure to find something you’ll love. Interestingly, some of these lesser-known shows were even made by the same creators as popular classics, but haven’t yet gotten the recognition they deserve.
I’m so excited! Nintendo just added Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance to Nintendo Switch Online, but it’s part of a special GameCube collection that’s only available on the new Nintendo Switch 2. It’s awesome that I can finally play this classic on my Switch 2!

Crimson Desert is an open-world adventure game developed by Pearl Abyss, a South Korean studio. The game takes place in the war-ravaged fantasy world of Pywel and is built using the studio’s BlackSpace Engine. Players control a mercenary named Kliff, who must survive political struggles, fight monsters, and complete quests to shape his own destiny through exploration and dynamic combat. While initially planned as a backstory to Black Desert Online, Crimson Desert became its own unique single-player game, emphasizing a rich, detailed world and engaging gameplay.
