The Harry Potter series, based on J.K. Rowling’s books, is one of the most triumphant film franchises in Hollywood’s history. Despite the spin-off Fantastic Beasts series falling slightly short of expectations, it continues to be a box office sensation. In an attempt to capitalize further, HBO is developing a Harry Potter television series. Rowling wrote seven books, but there were eight films: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Philosopher’s Stone) in 2001, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in 2002, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in 2010, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011. One of the actors who appeared in all the films is eager to reprise their role in a new medium.
