Guerrilla Games first announced they were developing a multiplayer Horizon game way back in December 2022. They described it as having a distinct visual style and a new group of characters. While some details leaked online over the past couple of years, the studio hadn’t revealed official information about how the game would play or its story – until now.

Players on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will be able to experience Digimon Story: Time Stranger almost a year after its original release on PC and other consoles. Praised as the highest-rated Digimon game ever made, Time Stranger is a time-traveling adventure where you’re sent eight years into the past to uncover a mysterious disaster. Throughout the game, you’ll battle and befriend many popular Digimon, including classics like Agumon and Gabumon. Additional content is available after launch through downloadable content, either purchased separately or as part of a season pass.

Though it came out in 2023, this game was a bit lost in the excitement surrounding Alan Wake 2 (which is understandable, as that game is fantastic). Still, it stood out to me as the best horror game of the year because of its expertly crafted story, unexpected plot twists, and unique gameplay that playfully interacts with the player.

Originally known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds when it launched in 2017, PUBG helped popularize the battle royale style of game. It became free-to-play in January 2022 and has sold over 75 million copies on various platforms. Even with more competitors emerging, PUBG continues to be popular with a loyal fanbase. While support for older consoles has ended, the game remains a success and is frequently among the most-played titles on Steam.

Starting in late 2025, the cost of memory (RAM) started to increase sharply because manufacturers were prioritizing production for AI data centers over other areas, creating a limited supply. While this isn’t a complete list of everything coming out, these are definitely the most anticipated releases. Exact release dates aren’t available for all of them yet, but they’re currently expected to launch sometime in 2026.

Orbitals is being created by Shapefarm, a studio based in Tokyo, and will be published by Kepler Interactive. Although Shapefarm is a new studio, Kepler Interactive has a proven track record with successful games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It’s yet to be seen if this combination of fresh development and experienced publishing will result in a great game, but early reactions show players are already excited about Orbitals’ graphics and the first look at gameplay.

Rumors have circulated for some time that the next Pokémon generation, Generation 10, would be titled Pokémon Wind or Wave and set in Southeast Asia. This suggests a region with many islands, a theme reinforced by early descriptions of the legendary Pokémon as representing ‘wind grandpa and wave grandma.’ Recent leaks have now provided fans with a clearer picture of the region’s map, detailing the different environments and important locations on each island.
