Earlier this year, a document leaked from ShiftUp hinted that a sequel to Stellar Blade might be happening. The information suggested the game could come to more platforms, possibly the Switch 2, and that a sequel was being planned. This month, ShiftUp officially confirmed that a sequel is currently in development. Now, with the newest Stellar Blade update, the developers have started building the foundation for that sequel by adding 3 new epilogues that continue the story. While the epilogues don’t offer a huge amount of new content, fans are still excited to see the game being updated… although there are a few things to keep in mind.

The story takes place in the crumbling remains of an old mansion, now affected by a strange new virus called NEO-Virus. While investigating the outbreak, the A.C.P.U. Squad, along with D and the Commander, cross paths with Jill Valentine and her team.

In a forthcoming update, the character Jill Valentine from the Resident Evil series will be added to the game. Here’s a sneak peek of her appearance, dressed in her Resident Evil 3 remake costume:

In games such as Stellar Blade, there are critical moments often referred to as “irreversible points” or “turning points.” These are significant plot developments that demand the player’s undivided focus until a specific segment of the narrative concludes. Typically, a game will only have one such point, and it usually occurs just before the climax. This feature is designed to give players an opportunity to complete any unfinished missions or upgrades prior to the final showdown. However, Stellar Blade presents two such critical points, adding an extra layer of tension and decision-making for the player.

As you journey through Stellar Blade, you’ll come across an array of intriguing Non-Player Characters (NPCs). Several of these characters may request your assistance with tasks, which are optional quests. It would be beneficial to complete these side missions because they offer a variety of useful rewards like Vitcoins, XP, and other prizes. One of the NPCs you’ll encounter is a woman named Roxanne, who has an unusual sense of humor but plays a significant role in the game as she sells Eve outfits and assorted items.

There’s uncertainty about whether the game will be launched on Xbox systems, but there might be a chance for it on the Nintendo Switch 2, hinted by a recent leak. To mark the game’s triumph on PC, Shift Up presented a brand new Nintendo Switch 2 to each of its staff members, fueling speculation about a potential Switch 2 launch.
