According to GameMeca and Automaton, Hyung-tae Kim, the CEO of Shift Up and director of Stellar Blade, stated at a recent economic summit in South Korea that artificial intelligence could be crucial for the country to stay competitive with China and the United States. He also noted that a large part of Shift Up’s player base is outside of Korea, and often competes with products from China.

NIKKE stood out from other games by forging its own path instead of simply imitating popular RPGs. Its unique design choices were so innovative that they soon became an inspiration for other developers in the industry.

Recently, Stellar Blade has received a lot of attention, becoming the best-selling new game ever released exclusively for PlayStation on PC. Plans are also in motion to make the next Stellar Blade game available on multiple platforms. Now, we’re learning more about Shift Up’s other upcoming game, Project Spirits, which will also be released on several platforms.

Shift Up, the studio behind Stellar Blade, recently revealed the game is the best-selling new PlayStation exclusive game ever. Thanks to a graphic shared by Genki, we now know Stellar Blade has achieved this milestone. While the exact number of copies sold in the past five months – since its release on PC – isn’t available, the graphic shows Stellar Blade reached 192,000 concurrent players at its peak on Steam, surpassing the highest player counts of other PlayStation games released on the platform.

Earlier this year, a document leaked from ShiftUp hinted that a sequel to Stellar Blade might be happening. The information suggested the game could come to more platforms, possibly the Switch 2, and that a sequel was being planned. This month, ShiftUp officially confirmed that a sequel is currently in development. Now, with the newest Stellar Blade update, the developers have started building the foundation for that sequel by adding 3 new epilogues that continue the story. While the epilogues don’t offer a huge amount of new content, fans are still excited to see the game being updated… although there are a few things to keep in mind.

The story takes place in the crumbling remains of an old mansion, now affected by a strange new virus called NEO-Virus. While investigating the outbreak, the A.C.P.U. Squad, along with D and the Commander, cross paths with Jill Valentine and her team.
