CDL’s Major I Tournament To Be Held in Barcelona, It’s Claimed

As a seasoned Call of Duty fan who has been following this game since its early days, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of the CDL Major happening in Barcelona next year! It’s been a while since we had a major tournament in Europe, and as someone who has spent countless hours playing Black Ops 6, I can’t wait to see how the pros handle it.

This year’s Call of Duty League season is gearing up, and as usual, there’s excitement brewing about where the key events will be staged. Rumors circulating on social media suggest that the initial major tournament – a CDL Major – could take place in Barcelona in early February. If true, this would be the first time in several years that a Call of Duty League Major event is being hosted in a European city.

Black Ops in Barca

According to a tweet from The Rotation, it’s been suggested that the CDL’s 2025 season, featuring Black Ops 6, will commence in Barcelona. This initial event will be Major I, with subsequent Major tournaments scheduled for Barcelona, Toronto, Miami, and Dallas as the year progresses.

It was also claimed that there will be a fifth Major in 2025, potentially being hosted in Chicago.

There’s no indication of where 2025’s COD Champs tournament will be held.

As a dedicated gamer in the Call of Duty League, I can’t help but feel the void since this year’s season ended in late July. The gap until Major I, scheduled for early February, stretches out to a staggering six months! This extended break is one of the major complaints echoed within our competitive community, making it tough to maintain momentum and excitement.
