The Institute in *Little Nightmares 3* can be a confusing place to get around, and finding the battery to unlock a door is a key challenge. After evading doctors and dangerous plants, Low and Alone will encounter a metal door that requires power to open. Therefore, locating the battery is essential to progress through chapter 4 of *Little Nightmares 3*.
How To Get The Battery In Chapter 4 – Little Nightmares 3
When Alone and Low realized a fuse was missing, they needed to find it quickly. They started by moving a cart under the window on the left to use as a platform. Then, they climbed through the window and found themselves in an empty room.

Turn left into the hallway and continue straight ahead. You’ll enter a room filled with toys. Continue forward into the next room, where you’ll find shelves and boxes also filled with toys.

Climb onto and over the boxes until you find a small window tucked away in the corner. Crawl through the window and slide down the rope to enter the room you’ve seen in Low’s memories.

Walk over to the trash chute on the left and have Low lift Alone up to open it. As trash falls out, you’ll also see a small doll that resembles Alone.

When you touch the doll, it will light up red and briefly show you a different version of the world, but only if you’re nearby. Pick up the doll, and then you can leave the room through the door. Continue to the right to find another door in the toy-filled room – it’s now locked.

Climb the seesaw and throw the doll out of the small window.

Exit through the open doorway and pick up the doll once more. Then, walk further down the hallway, away from the camera, being careful to avoid the large hole in the floor.

Go inside the room to the right and enter the next room where there is a lever.

Put the doll close by, then have Low assist Alone in getting up to pull the lever. This will close the door you entered through and open a new one on the other side.
Go into the new room and walk all the way to the left. There, you’ll find a lever that, when pulled, will give you a working battery.

One person should hold the doll while the other gets the battery and pulls the lever to reopen the door you entered through.

Okay, so once you’re back in the hallway, I’ve found it’s best to just leave the doll somewhere off to the right, away from the door. The thing is, that broken window you need is actually in the other version of the place – the one that *isn’t* all red, so you won’t see it from here!

Throw the fuse through the broken window and climb it to arrive on the other side of the Institute.

Grab the battery and return to the closed door to place it inside the empty socket.

Get a cart and position it near the lever. Use the cart to reach the lever, pull it down, and open the metal door.
