As a huge fan of The Boys, I’m absolutely thrilled at the prospect of seeing more of some intriguing characters in the upcoming final season. Among them is Sam, the terrifyingly powerful and unstable Guardian of Godolkin. With his blend of superhuman strength and durability, not to mention his mental instability, Sam promises to deliver jaw-dropping action set pieces that will leave us on the edge of our seats as the series reaches its explosive conclusion.

The final episode of Amazon Prime’s fourth season of “The Boys” is approaching, and critics’ reactions have been diverse. Although the show maintains a high approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, its recent installment has faced intense negative feedback from some viewers, resulting in review bombing.

For fans who delighted in the comeback of “The Boys,” Season 4 offered ample screen time for the beloved main cast members. New additions like Sister Sage and Firecracker joined the mix as well. Regrettably, several intriguing characters appeared only briefly during this season, leaving viewers yearning for more depth in their stories when the series returns for its fifth and concluding chapter.

Regrettably, Edgar, the calculating character portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito, made only one appearance on the show, leaving his fate uncertain after supposedly escaping detention. Esposito’s portrayal of television’s quintessential sinister villain as Vought’s cold-blooded CEO was too engaging to be underused. With Victoria’s demise, he now has a fresh motivation for confronting the Boys, making it essential for him to have more screen time when the show resumes.

Daughter of the ex-vice president-elect Victor Neuman and Sameer Shah, Zoe boasts a distinctively revolting power: she can generate four tentacled mouths that tear apart her adversaries mercilessly on “The Boys.”

Without the exaggerated powers, Zoe harbors a deep grudge against the leading character. The coincidence that she ends up in the same orphanage where her mother once lived adds an element of drama reminiscent of Shakespeare. A vengeance plot is always captivating, and Zoe’s character offers numerous possibilities for development. With so many intriguing storylines to explore, it seems a shame for Eric Kripke to reduce Zoe to a minor role in the final season. It would be more satisfying to see her take on a larger part in Season 5.

A Former Sage Grove Resident And Herogasm Participant

With Eric Kripke nearing the end of his tenure as showrunner, this last season offers a prime opportunity to bring one of the source material’s most distinctive superheroes into prominence. It’s now or never for Love Sausage to take center stage.

Cate is not just a wickedly simplistic supervillain in a cartoonish way; instead, she’s a complex and conflicted character with depth. Including more significance for Phillips’ character in the storyline would add value to the series, introducing an intriguing new aspect for character growth – something that many characters on the show have yet to fully explore as they approach the end of their narratives.

With his terrifying combination of superhuman strength and durability, as well as his unstable mind, Sam offers the potential for even more awe-inspiring action scenes as the show approaches its thrilling climax.

As a dedicated fan of “The Boys” and someone who has closely followed the development of the complex character arc of Sam, I cannot help but be intrigued by the enigma that is this troubled and morally ambiguous figure. His counterpart in “Guardians of Godolkin,” while sharing similarities with Sam, pales in comparison to his rich and multifaceted portrayal in the show.

The kiss between Frenchie and Kimiko in the Season 4 finale only added to the sensation that this plot point was underdeveloped and lacked depth.

In other words, it’s essential for “The Boys” to feature more of Colin in the last season; otherwise, introducing him seemed unnecessary. Although some viewers may be relieved to see less of this weak narrative line, Elliot Knight’s character needs a significant role in Season 5 to explain why he was introduced at all. If his storyline doesn’t progress or contribute meaningfully to the larger plot, it could leave fans feeling that his presence was irrelevant.
