A devoted fan of Pokemon has recently come up with unique Ghost-type versions for Fennekin, Braixen, and Delphox as regional variants. These regional variations are a favorite topic in Pokemon fan art because they provide artists with the opportunity to creatively redesign well-known creatures with different types, frequently resulting in remarkable creations.

Fennekin first appeared as one of the starting Pokémon in the sixth generation of Pokémon games, joining Chespin and Froakie. This Fire-type Pokemon can transform into Braixen at level 16, and later evolve into Delphox at level 36 and above. In most games following Generation 6, obtaining Fennekin and its evolutions required trading, but the new “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allows players to catch this creature in the Savanna Biome after increasing its variety.

Currently, an artist known as SayuriKoopa, who is well-known for her Pokemon fan art, has imagined distinctive versions of Fennekin and its evolutions. Rather than the traditional Fire-type, these variations have been transformed into Ghost-types. The initial version resembles a tiny purple fox with pale blue eyes and what seems like a spirit emanating from its ears. Similar to the original progressions, Braixen maintains its color scheme in this fan art. Delphox, however, is depicted as a Ghost/Dark-type creature instead of the usual Fire/Psychic one, while still retaining a witch-like appearance, but with a much more ominous design.

Previously, SayuriKoopa has come up with adorable localized versions of well-known Pokemon. Last year alone, she created a Rock/Steel-type regional variant for Larvitar and its evolutions. In her latest concept, Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar have been reinvented as creatures with grey and white skin and numerous crystals embedded in their bodies.
