This feature has been instrumental in keeping the game relevant even today, as its sequel lacks this functionality – a decision that Colossal Order’s CEO still expresses regret over. Despite ongoing efforts to address numerous issues with Cities: Skylines 2 (released in 2023), the original title continues to thrive. In fact, it recently marked a significant milestone and the development team is eager to show appreciation for its loyal fanbase.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Cities: Skylines on March 10, 2025, enthusiasts can anticipate an array of free content being rolled out across both the original game and its sequel throughout March. As announced on Paradox’s official website, the original version will receive a special 10th Anniversary update on March 25, offering three new parks. Meanwhile, another Anniversary update will arrive for Cities: Skylines 2 on March 18, containing 10 free assets. Additionally, both games will incorporate new radio stations and creator packs, with Cities: Skylines being accessible to all from March 18-24. Furthermore, Paradox’s subscription service is set to grow on March 13, enabling subscribers to play its grand strategy games along with every DLC for a flat monthly fee.
