One striking deviation from their traditional formula is the decision to scrap leader-civilization restrictions. In the upcoming version, I’ll have the freedom to choose any Leader I fancy, regardless of which Civilization they belong to. Civilization 7’s New Approach to Victory Conditions Could Be Good for Hyperfocus

To begin with, the Victory Conditions in Civilization 7 have undergone a significant change. Unlike previous versions where players were largely free to develop their winning strategy as they wished, the new Age system has fundamentally transformed the game’s dynamics. In Civilization 7, there are three distinct Ages (Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern), each with its own objectives that must be met to advance to the next stage.
