A Battlefield 6 player has impressively rebuilt the beloved Noshahr Canals map from Battlefield 3, using the game’s Portal tools. Since its launch, Battlefield 6 has been a huge success, attracting a large player base and generating significant sales for EA in under a week.
The new Battlefield game comes with plenty to do right away, including a single-player campaign and lots of multiplayer modes. But the real excitement lies in its Portal mode. Originally introduced in Battlefield 2042, Portal has been significantly improved, giving players much more freedom to create and customize their own experiences. Players are already making tons of unique content, even recreating classic moments from past Battlefield games.
Battlefield 6 Player Recreates Noshahr Canals
The new Portal tool is proving to be incredibly versatile. Creators have already demonstrated its power by recreating the ‘Shipment’ map from *Call of Duty* within *Battlefield 6*. Recently, a creator named Matavatar finished a particularly impressive project: a Portal-made version of the ‘Noshahr Canals’ map from *Battlefield 3*. A video showcasing the environment is sure to evoke fond memories for *Battlefield 3* fans, despite the map being built using assets from a New York map in *Battlefield 6*.
Matavatar acknowledges the map took significant time to create, mainly because of technical constraints and the resources they had. Currently, there aren’t any playable experiences available on the map. When a fan asked about inspiration, Matavatar mentioned using the Noshahr Canals map from *Battlefield 2042* as a reference, specifically featuring the engineer Lis and her G-84 TGM shoulder-launched weapon, which includes a rangefinder.
Although players are enjoying the Portal feature in the game, it’s recently become popular for creating ways to quickly earn experience points, similar to what happened in *Battlefield 2042*. This has caused server issues and the developers have noticed. DICE is planning to improve how experience points are earned in *Battlefield 6* to reduce the need for these custom experience farms and help keep servers running smoothly.
