Classic Tomb Raider Game May Be Coming to PS4 and PS5

PlayStation players who enjoy the *Tomb Raider* series might have something to look forward to! It appears that *Tomb Raider: Anniversary* could be released on both PS4 and PS5. The popular adventure games featuring Lara Croft have been gaining renewed attention, with several classic titles receiving remasters. We saw a remaster of the original *Tomb Raider* trilogy last year with *Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered*, followed by *Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered* earlier this year. Now, another beloved *Tomb Raider* game may be getting a fresh release.

As the name implies, *Tomb Raider: Anniversary* was created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the popular *Tomb Raider* series. It was a remake of the very first *Tomb Raider* game, putting players back in the role of Lara Croft as she travels the world searching for the lost Scion of Atlantis. Although the game initially received positive reviews, it didn’t sell as well as other main *Tomb Raider* titles. Now, rumors suggest that *Anniversary* might be re-released on current gaming consoles.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Coming to PS4 and PS5

A recent update to the PlayStation Network suggests that *Tomb Raider: Anniversary* might be coming to PlayStation. PushSquare noticed a complete list of 26 trophies for the game was added, including a Platinum Trophy. These trophies cover completing the story and also challenge players with unique tasks, like staying perfectly still and collecting lots of health packs. While Sony hasn’t officially announced the game’s release, and there’s no release date on the trophy list, this update is a strong indication it’s on the way.

The classic game *Tomb Raider: Anniversary* is now available on modern PlayStation consoles, giving players another way to experience this beloved adventure. This marks the second game in the *Tomb Raider: Legend* trilogy to be released on PlayStation Network, with only *Tomb Raider: Underworld* remaining. Like *Legend* before it, *Anniversary* will also be accessible to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers.

As a long-time Tomb Raider fan, it’s awesome to see another classic game make a comeback, especially since things feel a little up in the air for the series right now. We haven’t gotten a totally new Tomb Raider game since 2018’s *Shadow of the Tomb Raider* – mostly just remastered or re-released versions of older titles. But hey, there’s a TV show coming to Amazon with Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, which is exciting! Still, this re-release of *Anniversary* is a great way to revisit a classic while we wait and see what the future holds for the games.
