Summary

- The Cloud Kingdom Hearts Outfit mod also has two variants that come with and without the black wing.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that there’s a fresh modification for the PC edition of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth! This exciting update allows me to swap Cloud’s classic outfit with one he wore in his debut at Kingdom Hearts. The new look includes a striking red cape, a menacing black wing attached to his Buster Sword, and a bandage-wrapped version of the legendary weapon itself. So, if you’re a PC user, head on over and download this fantastic mod to breathe some fresh air into your Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth experience!
In the game Kingdom Hearts, Cloud resembled Vincent Valentine, with his Buster Sword covered in bandages from handle to tip. While characters like Squall provided guidance during Sora’s initial Keyblade journey in the Final Fantasy series, Cloud made a slightly opposing debut. Initially working for Hades from Hercules, Cloud served as a boss in the Olympus Colosseum, appearing both in the main plot and optional battles. In Kingdom Hearts 2, his attire was altered to reflect his look from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children.
Approximately a month following the successful debut of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC, a cosmetic modification featuring a change in Cloud’s attire has been circulating. Known as the “Cloud Kingdom Hearts Outfit” mod, it can now be found on NexusMods for PC gamers to download and utilize at their leisure. The mod was crafted by a user named ColossalCake, with another mod titled “Loveless Outfits – Individual” by Ninjagrime needed for proper functioning.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Mod Gives Cloud His Kingdom Hearts Outfit
In a recent statement, ColossalCake explained that the bandages on Cloud’s Buster Sword have been modified to fit at the top of the blade’s edge. This is different from its usual right-side tilt in “Final Fantasy 7 Remake” and “Rebirth”. As a result, there may be instances where Cloud appears to miss grabbing his sword during certain scenes. However, it’s important to note that the Buster Sword will automatically snap into Cloud’s grip when he needs it, whether that’s during combat or any time it isn’t attached to his back.
The Cloud Kingdom Hearts Outfit mod offers two versions: one with a black wing and another without. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the design for Cloud’s Kingdom Hearts attire in this mod originates from the spin-off game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. In the 3D fighting game released in 2018, Cloud’s Kingdom Hearts outfit was his secondary alternate costume, known as the Sky-Soarer ensemble.
Despite the fact that characters from Final Fantasy have been less prominent in recent Kingdom Hearts games, fans are optimistic that Square Enix may give them more attention in Kingdom Hearts 4. It remains to be seen if Cloud or other heroes from Final Fantasy will show up in future Kingdom Hearts installments.
