As a seasoned gamer with years of Call of Duty under my belt, I must say, Activision’s reveal of the Call of Duty League 2025 season Operator skins left me feeling a tad underwhelmed. The designs seem to be stuck in a time warp, and while it’s great to see team branding on point, I can’t help but feel that it’s high time for a change.
The designs for the Call of Duty League 2025 season Operator skins, unveiled by Activision, appear rather simplistic. They seem to lack much complexity and originality, with color schemes being the main factor in their design, but Boston Breach stands out with its demonic face mask.
Global fans of the COD League have expressed mixed feelings about the assortment of team skins, yet it’s clear that these items will undoubtedly be purchased as Call of Duty players are passionate about showcasing their favorite teams within the game.
COD League Skins Confirmed
All 12 COD League skins have been revealed by Activision, but they’re not very innovative. That’s a surprise considering how inventive teams have been with other Operator skins in Black Ops 6 thus far, and the Season One Battle Pass continues that trend in earnest.
Here are the teams competing in the Call of Duty League 2025 season:
- Atlanta FaZe
- Boston Breach
- Carolina Royal Ravens
- Cloud9 New York
- LA Guerrillas
- LA Thieves
- Miami Heretics
- Minnesota Rokkr
- OpTic Texas
- Seattle Surge
- Toronto Ultra
- Team Falcons
The design adheres to a ‘retro gamer’ theme, a style that’s long been prevalent in the Call of Duty League skin community. A change was certainly due, but thankfully, the team’s branding remains consistent.
In comparison, the more striking skins are primarily assigned to Boston Breach and OpTic Texas, whereas Los Angeles Guerrillas and Cloud9 characters undergo a complete color transformation; all other players will be dressed in regular black attire.
Typically, teams have limited influence on designing these skins. They can pick colors, decide where those colors go, and often determine the central element that defines the skin’s identity, but not much else. So, you won’t see Rokkr’s skin adorned with a horned helmet or the Royal Ravens’ skin embellished with wings, right?
The COD League skins will be released later in Season One.
