This game builds upon the previous one with a vast, expansive world, lots of new items to find, and now includes a jump button! It takes inspiration from games like Elden Ring, offering a more open and free-flowing experience within the challenging ‘Soulslike’ genre.
This means searching the game world for tons of different items and enhancements. As you explore Magmell Island and other areas, use our interactive map to find helpful item boosts, forma, regional upgrades, and everything else you need!

How To Unlock The Map
In Code Vein 2, exploring new areas depends on finding and defeating enemies called map jammers. These enemies create a purple fog on your map, hiding the surrounding terrain, items, and dungeon layout. Once you defeat a map jammer, the fog clears, revealing the area around you.
As a completionist, I was thrilled to find out how to get the “Touring the Frontier” achievement! Basically, you just need to beat all the map jammers you find out in the open world – you can ignore the ones hiding in dungeons, which is a huge relief!

Like most games of this type, Code Vein 2 lets you improve your character in many different ways. Here’s a breakdown of each upgrade category.
