As a die-hard gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can honestly say that the success of College Football 25 is nothing short of phenomenal! I remember waiting in line for hours to get my hands on the first Madden NFL game back in the day and never would have imagined that one day a college football game would dominate the charts like this. It’s a testament to EA Sports’ dedication to the genre and the passion of the fans. I mean, who would have thought that a college football game would become the best-selling sports game in US history?
Despite strong competition from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, College Football 25 continues to lead as the best-selling video game of 2024, according to recent data from Circana.
Ever since its debut in July, College Football 25 has consistently held the number one position on the charts. Upon its arrival, it successfully dethroned Helldivers 2, and so far, it hasn’t relinquished that position.
The good news doesn’t stop their for EA Sports, either. It was also revealed that College Football 25 has passed NBA 2K21 to become the best-selling sports game in US history. It’s even entered the top 50 best-selling games of all time in dollars.

In other sections of the graph, Black Ops 6 climbed up to the second position, displacing Helldivers 2 to third. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 surged forward, landing at the 20th spot and pushing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League down a notch.
