As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of intrigue and skepticism upon hearing that Concord, the upcoming game from Firewalk Studios, will not feature a battle pass and instead opt for free post-launch content updates.
At the launch of Concord in August, there won’t be a push for players to purchase a battle pass as Firewalk Studios has declared that the game will not include this feature since it is released as a premium-priced product.
The studio announced that Concord will not feature a Battle Pass on its launch. Instead, they chose to devote their resources towards creating an engaging and rich experience for players right from the start. By merely playing the game, progressing through levels, and accomplishing tasks, players will be rewarded significantly.
The game won’t include a battle pass initially, but there will be free post-release content adding new characters, maps, and more. This content will arrive as seasons, accessible for all players without any extra fees.
A post-launch road map with full details, they said, will be available soon.
Recently the game held an open beta where the numbers showed it didn’t perform very well on Steam.
Concord launches August 23 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
