Content Warning Gets Last Patch ‘For a While,’ Devs Planning New Ports

As a devoted fan of Content Warning since its launch in April 2024, I’ve been thrilled to see Landfall’s latest update and the confirmation of future plans for the game. The new patch brings much-needed bug fixes and exciting additions like a sketch pad and language options for matchmaking. It’s a testament to the team’s dedication to continuously improving the player experience.


Today on X’s latest update, Landfall explained the intricacies of the new Content Warning feature in a fresh blog post, also sharing information about upcoming enhancements and expansions to additional platforms.

The Content Warning software has just received a new update, bringing numerous bug corrections and enhancements to user experience. According to the developers, this is the final patch for some time.

Landfall shares that Content Warning’s creators have been occupied with a different project they’ve been collaborating on since 2021 with another team. The specifics about this project are still undisclosed, but referencing 2021 provides a rough estimate of its progress.

In today’s update, it is officially announced that Landfall intends to explore the possibility of expanding their Content Warning game to new platforms. The developers have revealed their intention to “explore other avenues for releasing the game.” However, no specific platforms have been disclosed as of yet.

As an avid fan, I’m excited to share that Landfall has promised to keep us informed about the upcoming ports and the future direction of the game by the end of this year.

A Content Warning note was initially introduced on Steam in April 2024 and gained significant popularity among indie game enthusiasts ever since. The game continues to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback on Steam, with a ‘Very Positive’ rating.

Around two months after in June 2024, Content Warning from Landfall surpassed 2.2 million copies in sales. In this update, Landfall hinted at the possibility of console versions for Content Warning. Yet, they hadn’t officially begun exploring this option just then.

As a long-time gamer with a penchant for exploration and customization in my games, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the latest Content Warning patch. This update brings a fresh new feature that resonates deeply with me – a sketch pad! I can finally let my creativity flow while I play, jotting down ideas or doodling to my heart’s content.
