Control 2 Is Now Playable as Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Enters Full Production

As a long-time fan of Remedy Entertainment, my heart is racing with anticipation! Control 2 moving into a playable state is like hearing the first notes of a symphony I’ve been eagerly awaiting for years. The Max Payne remake entering full production feels like finding an old friend I thought I’d never see again, but now they’re back, better than ever!

According to Remedy Entertainment’s recent update, we can now play an early version of Control 2, the re-make of Max Payne 1 & 2 is moving forward in its complete production phase, and development on Project Condor appears to be advancing as well.

As per a report by VGC, Remedy has shared updates on the advancement of their forthcoming projects. The sequel to Control, titled Control 2, is now at the “production readiness stage” and can be played. Meanwhile, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is further along in development, moving from the “production readiness stage” to the full-fledged “production stage.” Remedy and Rockstar are working together to produce a comprehensive version of the game.

In summary, the Project Condor team has seen advancements as well. They’ve been working on various maps and assorted mission types. Additionally, they’re arranging for more extensive internal and selective external playtesting to validate features and gather valuable feedback.

Previously, Project Control 2 was primarily a “proof-of-idea” phase, given the grandness of its upcoming sequel’s plans. Conversely, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake was progressing towards “production readiness”, as developers had recently finalized the game’s aesthetic and scale. Furthermore, in this year’s disclosure, Remedy Entertainment mentioned that the budget for both Max Payne remakes is comparable to that of Alan Wake 2’s development budget.
