Remedy Entertainment has unveiled the PC specifications required to run their upcoming multiplayer spin-off game, titled “FBC: Firebreak“. Unlike earlier narrative-focused titles such as “Alan Wake 2“, “FBC: Firebreak” represents Remedy’s debut into cooperative multiplayer gaming.
First unveiled as Project Condor back in mid-2021, the game known as “FBC: Firebreak” was officially presented with its title and initial gameplay scenes in October 2024. Since then, details have been gradually disclosed, including the revelation that the game acts as a narrative bridge connecting “Control” to its forthcoming sequel. Once again set within the enigmatic Oldest House, “FBC: Firebreak” changes its focus towards cooperative play, enabling players to work together to combat the Hiss.
As the launch of FBC: Firebreak draws near, Remedy Entertainment has shared the game’s official PC system specifications. These requirements are divided into four categories: Minimum, Recommended, High, and High Ray Tracing. At the minimum level, the game employs low graphic settings and Quality upscaling to aim for a 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second (FPS). To meet these standards, you’ll need an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5600 XT with 6GB of video memory (VRAM), along with an Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU and 16GB of RAM. Notably, these minimum requirements are quite modest for a game slated for release in 2025, given the present hardware market that includes the RTX 50 series graphics cards.
FBC: Firebreak PC Specs
Minimum | Recommended | High | High Ray Tracing | |
Avg Performance | 1080p / 60 FPS with upscaler set to QUALITY | 1440p / 60 FPS with upscaler set to QUALITY | 4K / 60 FPS with upscaler set to PERFORMANCE | 4K / 60 FPS with upscaler set to PERFORMANCE |

The suggested configuration is optimized for a 1440p resolution at 60 frames per second, with medium graphic settings, which necessitates a stronger GPU such as the RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT and a minimum of 8GB VRAM. For those seeking higher visual quality, the High and High Ray Tracing presets support 4K at 60 FPS with performance upscaling. These levels demand more potent hardware: an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT for High settings, and an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XT for High Ray Tracing, each requiring 8 GB and 10 GB of VRAM respectively. Additionally, the CPU power should scale accordingly, with processors like the Intel Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600 suggested for the top tier. Lastly, it’s important to note that having a stable broadband internet connection will be necessary to play FBC: Firebreak on PC when it releases on June 17.
In anticipation for its launch, the game’s director has hinted that the game borrows some design elements from the popular game, Overcooked. Meanwhile, Remedy is taking player feedback from the Firebreak beta seriously and making adjustments, including upgrading starting weapons, fine-tuning combat tempo, balancing difficulty levels, and enhancing enemy diversity.
