Cookie Run Kingdom: Super Mayhem Guide & Best Teams

Cookie Run Kingdom: Super Mayhem Guide & Best Teams

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent climbing leaderboards and snatching top spots, I can confidently say that this Super Mayhem event is not to be missed. With my battle-hardened strategy skills and an unquenchable thirst for digital glory, I’m ready to take on the challenge.

In the latest update (5.8) for Cookie Run Kingdom, the seventh installment of Super Mayhem is now available, a crucial aspect known as the Song of the Night Sea. This exciting season offers players numerous opportunities to amass a fortune in items and crystals. The initial season of Super Mayhem debuted in 2021 under the name Dragon’s Valley, making its way into Cookie Run Kingdom that same year. Since then, this seasonal mode has been reintroduced twice annually by Cookie Run Kingdom, and the first edition of 2024, released in August, marks the beginning of this cycle for the current year.

In Super Mayhem mode, players aren’t just challenged to create effective teams for combat; it also poses a significant challenge to those who haven’t spent much time building their cookie roster. This mode employs top-tier cookies from the game Cookie Run Kingdom, but with certain restrictions. For instance, no single cookie can be used on multiple teams, and similarly, each team can only use a maximum of three specific treasures once.

How To Play Super Mayhem In Cookie Run Kingdom

Between August 14th and September 4th, gamers can dive into the thrilling Super Mayhem gameplay and vie for top positions against a global player base numbering in the hundreds of thousands. To access this mode, simply click on Play within the game’s menu, followed by a selection of the fourth option. Once there, players will be whisked away to the competitive arena. In this setting, they must strategize and assemble three distinct teams designed for both destruction and survival during the intense battles ahead.

The strategy will come down to which cookies have been built the strongest, and which ones mesh well with others. Some players prefer to build three well-rounded teams that pack offense and defense, but master neither of the two styles. Others prefer to focus on one aspect per team, with one built to blast away opposition and another to tank the enemy’s strongest units. There is no right or wrong way to play Super Mayhem, and players are encouraged to test out different strategies.

After all three teams are ready and their treasures are distributed among them, it’s time for battle! Just like in Kingdom Arena, each player gets to choose one of the three teams to face off against. The strength or power level of each team is clearly displayed so players can make informed decisions about whom to target. Once every player has faced all three teams, a new set of opponents will appear, ready for battle. Wins and losses are recorded, and by consistently defeating opponents, players can climb up the rankings.

Important Things To Consider For Super Mayhem

In the diverse lineup of characters in “Cookie Run Kingdom”, Super Mayhem imposes certain restrictions that might narrow down the options for some players. To participate in Super Mayhem, a cookie must have both a base level and skill level of at least 60, which means you’ll need to invest resources into 15 cookies to meet this requirement. Additionally, teams are restricted to only three Legendary, Ancient, or Dragon cookies, as well as one Beast cookie, so it’s important to make thoughtful choices when selecting your team members.

During team formation in Super Mayhem, there’s a seasonal feature called Moon Aspects. These Moon Aspects influence specific cookies with special effects throughout a battle. Players can decide which cookies get these bonuses by checking the Aspects section within the Edit menu when selecting characters for each team. Here are the various Aspects and their benefits to teams:

  • Moon’s Embrace: All cookies take 50% less damage, while cookies buffed by a Moon Aspect receive an additional 50% to their max HP and 30% reduction to Sleep. While using the skill, cookies also receive a 30% DMG Resist bypass during each use.
  • Moon’s Shadow: When Sea Fairy Cookie, Crimson Coral Cookie, Milky Way Cookie, or Vampire Cookie is a member of the team, an extra 100% of a cookie’s attack will be dealt as True Damage.
  • Moon’s Balance: When Moonlight Cookie, Stardust Cookie, Star Coral Cookie, Space Doughnut Cookie, or Blueberry Pie Cookie is a member of the team, apply Sleep duration of 200% effectiveness, while adding Amplify Buff (+10%) and Debuff Resist (+20%) to the select cookies.
  • Moon’s Blessing: When Pitaya Dragon Cookie, Sea Fairy Cookie, Black Pearl Cookie, Moonlight Cookie, Star Coral Cookie, Werewolf Cookie, Cloud Haetae Cookie, or Capsaicin Cookie are a member of the team, they receive an additional ATK +200.0%, HP +350.0%, Size +150.0%, and Weight +100.0%.

Players can feel free to deploy Star Coral Cookie on any one of the three squads, as her unique ability gets enhanced, multiplying its strength by two every time it’s activated. Star Coral Cookie was introduced in the Song of the Night Sea 5.8 update and serves as a valuable Epic Support cookie.

Best Cookie Run Kingdom Teams For Super Mayhem

Cookie Run Kingdom: Super Mayhem Guide & Best Teams

An ideal team for Super Mayhem mode will consist of having the ability to defend and heal the party, while the remaining units cause havoc with hard-hitting skills. For this reason, it’s recommended that players should have at least one Defense cookie and one Healer cookie on each team, surrounded by three other cookies that are of the Magic, Ambush, Bomber, or Charge variety. This will give plenty of firepower up front while protecting the entire team and ensuring their safety throughout the battle.

In the game Cookie Run Kingdom, there are numerous top-tier choices across all categories, so players should find it straightforward to assemble three strong teams, with their overall power ranging from 1.5 million to 3 million points, depending on their character’s rank and enhancements. If one team seems weaker compared to the others, it might be beneficial to invest some time in boosting its strength and adding high-rarity Cookies (Beascuits) to trigger additional stat improvements in key areas. Here are some effective teams that can significantly impact Super Mayhem battles.

  • Team One-Shot: Schwarzwalder Cookie, Space Doughnut Cookie, Moonlight Cookie, Captain Caviar Cookie, and Squid Ink Cookie (Insignia of the Indomitable Knights, Old Pilgrim’s Scroll, Dream Conductor’s Whistle)
  • Team Attack & Speed: Kouign-Amann Cookie, Madeleine Cookie, Werewolf Cookie, Vampire Cookie, and BTS Cookie (Hollyberian Royal Necklace, Disciple’s Magic Scroll, Librarian’s Enchanted Robes)
  • Team Pitaya Standard: Pitaya Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie, Stardust Cookie, Pure Vanilla Cookie, and Snapdragon Cookie (Sugar Swan’s Shining Feather, The Order’s Sacred Fork, Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch)
