The news, shared by Deadline, has me on the edge of my seat. Though specifics about his character haven’t been revealed yet, I can’t help but wonder if he’ll be donning the cloak of villainy again.
In a captivating performance, Doohan skillfully portrayed both Tyler Galpin/The Hyde Monster in the first season of Wednesday, and I’m eager to see his role in the upcoming Evil Dead movie. The character of Tyler presented unique challenges as he developed a friendship and romantic interest with Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), all while concealing his monstrous nature. Doohan’s portrayal of Wednesday’s character is captivating because viewers grow fond of Tyler, perceiving him as a lost, puzzled, and compassionate individual who shares similarities with Wednesday due to his inability to fit in. Regardless of the roles Doohan assumes throughout his career, it’s been captivating to watch, and we can’t help but be intrigued by the various projects he takes on. Apart from Wednesday, he’s made appearances on two legal dramas. He portrayed a young Warren Cave in Truth Be Told, and Adam Desiato on Your Honor, where Bryan Cranston was also featured. More recently, Doohan starred as Bastian Cooper/Muse for five episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, which is set to have a second season. Upcoming, fans can look forward to seeing him reprise his role as Tyler in Wednesday’s second season, scheduled for release in August and September 2025.
