This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
Summary
- Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan may not be enough to compete with Otsutsuki.
- Fans speculate Sarada could awaken the Rinnegan due to her lineage and potential.
- Sarada’s progression in Boruto suggests she may reach a level comparable to her predecessors.
In the ongoing series “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,” the action remains intense as we witness the next-generation characters demonstrating their years of learning. The three-year time jump in the “Boruto” series has been nothing short of spectacular, offering fans a glimpse of their beloved characters’ upgraded combat skills, including Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, and even Mitsuki. However, one character who hasn’t had her moment to shine in “Two Blue Vortex” since its debut a year ago is Sarada Uchiha.
Readers widely recognize Sarada as an exceptionally skilled ninja who possesses the ability to rise to extraordinary heights, but her full potential remains unseen in Boruto. Fervent fans believe that Sarada will eventually tap into the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan she’s been cultivating. However, this power might not be sufficient for her to match the formidable figures of the Boruto universe, such as Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, Jura, Hidari, and other powerful characters. Some speculate that a Rinnegan could become necessary if she aims to maintain parity with these titans.
How Sarada Uchiha’s Powers Have Developed Over The Years
- Sarada’s Control Over The Sharingan is Impressive
- Sarada Has Attained The Mangekyo Sharingan
From my vantage point, it’s undeniable that Sarada Uchiha stands out among the ninjas we’ve encountered so far, boasting an exceptional talent that has left fans in awe. Given her lineage as Sasuke’s daughter, it’s no wonder fans have high expectations for her prowess. Indeed, Sarada demonstrates immense power and potential, capable of matching or even surpassing the feats of her predecessors.
At an early age, Sarada awakened the Sharingan, a testament to her unique abilities. As the story unfolded, from her days as an Academy member to her promotion to Genin, her powers have grown exponentially. Her control over the Sharingan is remarkable, having developed it into a fully mature three-tomoe eye. In battle, Sarada holds her own against formidable opponents.
Recently, in Two Blue Vortex, fans witnessed Sarada locking horns with Hidari for a brief but intense encounter. During this skirmish, Sarada deftly dodged his attacks and dealt him a powerful Chidori blow, a clear indication that she’s ready to advance further as a fighter.
Papa, please don’t let Boruto die. Please! — Sarada Uchiha
Beyond what Sarada has already achieved, fans are well aware that her full potential remains untapped. Sarada Uchiha is equipped with the Mangekyo Sharingan, a power she activated when the story took a time leap. Upon learning about Naruto Uzumaki’s demise and worrying about Boruto Uzumaki’s capture, Sarada’s feelings triggered the activation of her Mangekyo Sharingan, granting her powers far beyond anything she had previously wielded. Whether Sarada is conscious of this Mangekyo Sharingan power or not is yet to be revealed. If she indeed knows about the mighty Mangekyo Sharingan she possesses, then it’s likely she has been honing these skills during the three years and grown even stronger. However, if she remains unaware of her true powers, fans can anticipate Sarada reaching a high level in the storyline titled “Two Blue Vortex“, potentially in the Hidden Sand Village, where she faces off against the Shinju.
Why The Mangekyo Sharingan Might Not Be Enough
Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan Can’t Compete With The Otsutsuki
It’s clear that Sarada Uchiha possesses significant strength, and with her Mangekyo Sharingan, she’ll become even more formidable. It’s likely that she’ll be capable of dealing with many major threats within Konoha without much difficulty. However, her power level won’t be sufficient to rival the Shinju or any future Otsutsuki characters in the Boruto series. The Mangekyo Sharingan, as demonstrated in the Naruto series, grants two unique abilities and a powerful Susanoo. Despite these powers being incredibly potent at times, they still fall short when compared to an Otsutsuki character.
The reason Sasuke needed to acquire the Rinnegan, and Kakashi was only able to match Kaguya’s power after getting Six Paths chakra from Obito upon his death, is due to their unique circumstances and the extraordinary abilities these powers provide.
How much can you see with that Sharingan of yours? — Itachi Uchiha
It’s undeniable that Sarada Uchiha will become extremely powerful with the Mangekyo Sharingan. Given her current status compared to characters like Kawaki and Boruto, it’s clear she could use this power boost. For now, let’s watch her battle strong adversaries, such as Ryu, especially when she teams up with Sunagakure ninja and has Mitsuki by her side. However, even with the Mangekyo Sharingan, Sarada won’t reach Sasuke Uchiha’s level in the long run. That’s why, much like Sasuke did, Sarada must embark on a journey to obtain a Rinnegan.
Sarada’s Rinnegan Would Make Her Overpowered
Sarada Uchiha’s Rinnegan Could Awaken In The End
It’s well-known that Sarada Uchiha is quite capable and fans anticipate her becoming even stronger, possibly with the activation of the Rinnegan. Fans might ponder about how Sarada could activate the Rinnegan since it requires chakra from Indra and Asura. However, there’s no need for Sarada to worry because, as fans recall, Sarada inherits Sasuke’s chakra. Since Sasuke himself possessed the Rinnegan, it’s not unreasonable to expect that Sarada could also awaken this powerful ability in the future.
Should Sarada unlock the Rinnegan one day, I’ll be witnessing her stepping onto the pinnacle of competition levels. Granted with the Six Paths Powers and a singularly powerful ability akin to Sasuke Uchiha’s Amenotejikara, she’d possess an arsenal that could enable her to engage in battles against formidable opponents such as the Otsutsuki clan. In fact, it might not be too far-fetched to envision her overcoming them with her newfound abilities at her disposal.
As Boruto’s adversaries persistently escalate their strength, it’s increasingly apparent that Sarada will find herself compelled to seek greater power. Fervent fans can only cross their fingers that Ikemoto doesn’t overlook Sarada as he did in the earlier chapters of the narrative. For Sarada to one day ascend to the position of Hokage, she requires both her due time and the acquisition of formidable abilities such as the Rinnegan. Given her responsibility to uphold the legacy of the Seventh Hokage and her role model, Naruto Uzumaki, it’s essential that Sarada meets these high expectations.
You can access Boruto for reading through Viz Media. Fans can read it officially and at no cost on both Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps. The upcoming chapter of Boruto, titled “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 19,” is scheduled to release on February 20, 2025.
