Craws in *Hollow Knight: Silksong* are likely to be frustrating enemies. They’re difficult to avoid due to their unpredictable movement and the fact that they fire several projectiles at players.

Okay, so in the third part of the game, you’ll face off against this seriously tough boss called Craw. If you beat him, he drops a Memento, but also something that *looks* like just a cool decoration for your place – but trust me, it’s way more than that! This guide is going to walk you through everything you need to know about the Craw Summons in *Hollow Knight: Silksong*.

How to Get the Craw Summons in Silksong

To unlock the Craw Summons, you’ll first need to reach Act 3 of the game and continue with the main storyline until you’re tasked with descending into the Abyss. After completing the Abyss and returning to Pharloom, the Craw Summons can appear randomly. Every time you rest at a bench in the game, there’s a chance you’ll hear a distinctive craw sound, and a pin with a summons attached will drop to the ground.

As we noted before, summons happen completely at random. In our case, one appeared while we were heading to Shellwood Bellway Station to clear out a void mass as part of the Dark Heart quest.

You’ll usually find this while you’re exploring and gathering hearts for the main goal. However, if you want to try and get it quickly, you can repeatedly leave and re-enter the room near the Bellhart bench using the Bellway Station door. While it’s not a guaranteed method, many players have had success with it.

If you haven’t finished the arena within the Craw Lake building, you might not receive the summons.

What to Do With the Craw Summons in Silksong

After obtaining the Craw Summons, travel to Greymoor and go right to reach Craw Lake. Enter the building in the center, and instead of going upstairs, find the door downstairs. Use your Craw Summons at this door to open it. Descend, and you’ll find the Court of Craws, leading to the boss fight against the Crawfather.

The Crawfather isn’t particularly strong, but it’s frustrating because it creates smaller craws to help it in battle. To win, focus on using the Red tools. The , , and are especially effective. Combining these with Quick Sling and the Pollip Pouch will give you a powerful attack build. During the Court of Craws, save your tools, then immediately unleash the Conchcutter on the Crawfather boss. When the boss summons more craws, use the Threefold Pin to poison them all, ideally hitting the flying ones from a distance.

Stay near the arena walls to dodge most of the boss’s attacks. However, watch out for its chain attack, which happens after a short delay and can cause significant damage if you’re hit.

How Does the Crawbell Work in Silsksong?

After you beat the boss, you’ll receive the Craw Memento and the Crawbell. They might seem like just decorations for your home in Bellhart, and you’d be right to think so. However, the Crawbell actually has another use – it’s not particularly helpful at this point in the game, but it’s still nice to get for free.

Place the Crawbell outside your home, and it will slowly produce Rosaries and Shell Shards. You can then continue playing – completing quests and gathering items – and return to Bellhart later to collect a substantial amount of resources from it.
