As a seasoned veteran of the grim and gritty world of crime scene cleaning, Affair with Death in Crime Scene Cleaner has to be one of my all-time favorite missions – if you can call it that. The sheer amount of carnage and chaos is enough to make even the most hardened cleaner cringe, but I’ve seen worse in my line of work, so I take it all in stride.
As a gamer diving into the gritty world of Crime Scene Cleaner, I must admit, none of the missions compare to the sheer horror of “Affair with Death.” This one is a gruesome challenge with five grotesquely mutilated corpses and a pool that’s overflowing with blood. It’s a grim task, but someone’s gotta do it – and that’s where I come in, meticulously cleaning up the mess. But it’s not just about scrubbing; I’ve got to be on the lookout for any evidence that could potentially link my client to this grisly scene. It’s a chilling reminder of the darker side of life we sometimes have to confront in our games.
Just as with other Crime Scene Cleaner tasks, you’ll encounter hidden treasures like secret items and Cassette Tapes during your work. This guide will help you find their precise locations so you won’t accidentally overlook any of them while on the job.
All Secrets & Cassette Tapes in Crime Scene Cleaner Affair with Death
In the “Affair with Death” mission of “Crime Scene Cleaner”, there are three hidden secrets and three cassette tapes for you to uncover. Here’s a guide on how to find them all:
Cassette Tape #1
1. Inside the main house, you’ll discover the initial Cassette Tape connected to the Death Affair. However, the front door is currently locked. To proceed, first exit your car and follow the garden path. Continue on until you reach the wooden doors that lead to the Swimming Pool. Take a right immediately after entering and locate the door that leads to a switchboard. Interact with this switchboard to drain the large pool outside.
After emptying the pool, retrieve the Workshop Key positioned close to its center. Utilize this key to gain access to the Workshop. Inside, locate a switchboard for further interaction. Performing this action will unlock the main entrance.
Now, you can walk in and grab the first Cassette Tape sitting in the living room on the TV stand.

Cassette Tape #2
Heading to the master suite on this level? You’ll find it just prior to the staircase ascending to the upper floor. Once you’re there, take a spin around the bed, and voila! You’ll spot the Cassette Tape nestled atop the drawer closet, tucked close to the wall painting.
To reach the third tape, exit the master bedroom and climb the stairs outside. Upon reaching the first floor, turn right and proceed to the door ahead. You’ll spot a Laundry Key on the toilet lid inside. Grab it for future use.
Stepping out from the restroom now, take a look to your left and you’ll spot a damaged door. Give it a few firm whacks to break it down, and you’ll be able to enter. Make your way towards the desk situated by the balcony, and there you’ll discover the elusive third Cassette Tape for our mission.
Secret #1
Head back to the room where the initial cassette tape is located. On your left side, you’ll spot two doors. Locate the one close to the couch and unlock it using the Laundry Key. Then, proceed all the way to the end of the room to uncover the first hidden secret.
Secret #2
To reveal the second hidden detail, make your way down to the basement. The staircase leading there can be found in the kitchen area. Note that this location is conspicuous as it houses a corpse that requires disposal.
At the very back left of the cellar, there’s a pile of boxes. Hidden behind these boxes is a narrow gap in the wall. Bend down and squeeze through this gap to discover the second hidden truth of the task.
Collecting all the cash here will give you the Money for Nothing Achievement in the game.
Secret #3
The third and final secret in Affair with Death is located outside the main house. Go out through the main door and get to the other side of the pool. You’ll need to climb over the wall and go to the far left corner of the map in the area through the bushes. Getting to this spot is pretty easy if you’ve unlocked the Step Ladder in your Skill Tree. Simply place the ladder near the wall and jump over it. Alternatively, you can pick up a chair or tool from the main house and use it to make the climb.
On your right, there’s a basketball court – grabbing the “Basket Case” Achievement in the game “Crime Scene Cleaner” is possible here.
Once the final piece of evidence is gathered, you’re free to restore the area thoroughly. Make sure to inspect every room and eliminate all the stains from the crime scene for a top-notch grade in Crime Scene Cleaner.
