Crimson Desert: Chaos Forest Puzzle Guide

Crimson Desert’s puzzles can be challenging, as the game doesn’t offer much guidance. One particularly confusing puzzle, found in the Abyss area called Chaos Forest, involves a hidden step that’s easy to overlook – you’ll need to find it to restore power.

Once you figure out the Chaos Forest puzzle, finishing it should be quick – probably less than five minutes. The answer is actually quite obvious once you know what you’re looking for.

This guide will show you how to complete the puzzle and get the Abyss Artifact in Crimson Desert’s Chaos Forest.

Chaos Forest Location

The Chaos Forest is a puzzle area located in the Abyss, a sky region within Crimson Desert. Players can access it by first solving the Spire of Insight puzzle and climbing to its peak.

At the very top of the Spire of Insight, you’ll find a portal you can use. Stepping through it will instantly take you to the Chaos Forest in the Crimson Desert.

Chaos Forest Puzzle Solution

When you arrive at the Chaos Forest in Crimson Desert, you’ll find a large door that requires the skill Nature’s Grasp to open.

Beyond the door, the platform is covered in dense vines. Use your Blinding Flash ability on them – it will harness sunlight to burn them away and clear a path.

Now, use your Axiom Force to pick up the battery cell on the platform to the north. Be careful – it’s on fire! You’ll need to put out the flames before you can use it. Simply dunk the battery cell into the water nearby to extinguish the fire.

This step will prepare the battery, letting you put it in the slot nearby. You can use Force Palm to push the battery into place.

Then, fly over the gap and head towards the spot marked by the red arrow in the picture below.

Once you cross over, turn left to locate more vines. Use your Blinding Flash ability again to destroy them and uncover a secret door.

Walk up to the door and use Nature’s Grasp to open it. Inside, you’ll find a floating battery. Use Axiom Force to pick it up, then use Force Palm to place it in the slot on the left wall.

Finally, grab the Abyss Fragment from the floor – it’s in the same room where you found the battery cell – and then take it to the door you opened with Nature’s Grasp.

After that, use Nature’s Grasp to open the door. Then, put the Abyss Fragment under the door to keep it from closing completely.

Okay, so doing that little thing actually powers up the main cog in the Chaos Forest puzzle! It gets all the electrical connections lined up just right. Now, all I need to do is climb up to the center of the cog and use Force Palm on it – that should finally solve the Chaos Forest puzzle in Crimson Desert. Fingers crossed!

Once you solve the Chaos Forest puzzle, you’ll receive an Abyss Artifact, similar to the rewards from other Abyss puzzles. These artifacts are valuable because you can use them to improve your characters’ abilities, upgrade weapons, and unlock new skills.
