While completing Lumiel’s Palmer Leaf Research Request in Pororin Village within Crimson Desert, players may encounter an issue. After progressing the research to around 50%, they’ll receive a message saying the research has stopped, but without any explanation as to why.
You won’t get any more information by talking to Lumiel, the director of the Research Institute. Checking the Palmer Leaf Research section of the Research Request menu just shows the project is paused at 50% completion, with no hints about how to continue.
How to Solve Palmer Leaf Research Halted in Crimson Desert
Pause the game and open your Journal. From there, navigate to Faction Quests, and then select the Pororin Forest Guardians section within the Hernand category.
Go to the very bottom of the page and open the “Halted Research” menu. Inside, you’ll find the “Palmer Leaf Research Halted” mission. Choose this mission to activate it, then close the menu.
So, I followed the quest marker and found this guy, the Pororin Research Assistant, chilling under this huge tree. I talked to him, and apparently, he’s stuck on his research because he needs a Palmer Leaf. Sounds like I’ve got a new fetch quest on my hands!
Continue following the quest marker; it will guide you to a large tree tucked away in the village. Underneath the tree, you’ll find patches of glowing green leaves called Palmer Leaves. Search through these leaves carefully to find a Palmer Leaf, but keep in mind they don’t always appear, so you might need to check several times.
After you obtain a Palmer Leaf, go back to the Research Assistant and give it to him. He’ll then inform you that the research can continue.
Return to the Research Institute and speak with Lumiel to access the Research Request menu. Select Palmer Leaf Research – you should see the progress bar working again. Then, simply wait for 6 in-game hours to allow the research to complete.
To finish the mission, go back to the Palmer Leaf Research menu using Lumiel and click “Research Completed” in the bottom right corner.
Finishing the Palmer Leaf Research will let you get more arrows from the Replenishing Arrows item in Crimson Desert.
