While venturing through the Abyss in Crimson Desert, you’ll find difficult puzzles to solve. Successfully completing each puzzle will restore a piece of the Abyss and grant you a valuable Abyss Artifact.

This game doesn’t offer much help or instruction, leaving players to figure things out on their own. For instance, the Vault of Vengeance is a sealed-off puzzle with a valuable reward, but the game provides no clues on how to open it.

How to Unlock the Vault of Vengeance

When you arrive at the Vault of Vengeance in Crimson Desert, you’ll find a holographic barrier blocking your way inside.

First, you need to remove the holographic wall. You can do this by finding the two power cubes nearby and inserting them into the slots beside the wall.

Power cubes are simple to locate – they appear as small white icons on your minimap. You’ll find one on the right side of the sky platform and another on the left. Simply use your Axiom Force to pick up each cube and place it in the designated slots.

After placing both power cubes correctly, the holographic wall will vanish, allowing you to move towards the entrance of the Vault of Vengeance. Then, shoot the symbols on either side of the vault with your bow to unlock it.

Vault of Vengeance Puzzle Solution

Okay, so I’m finally inside the Vault of Vengeance, and to get the Abyss Artifact, I have to solve this puzzle. When I walked in, there were lasers everywhere and a sword on a podium in the center. Turns out, to disable the lasers and unlock the sword, all I have to do is shoot the targets with symbols at the top of the room.

To do this effectively, you’ll first need to unlock Focused Shot on the left side of the skill tree. Focused Shot is necessary because the targets appear for a limited time, and you have to hit them all simultaneously.

After unlocking Focused Shot, aim your bow, activate the ability, and then mark each target. Once all targets are marked, release the arrow to hit them all. After that, you can go to the podium in the center of the area and take the Golden Sword.

Once you grab the sword, the platform will descend to the lower level of the vault. There, you’ll find a hallway blocked by lasers. To get across, you need to time your dodges and roll through the gaps between them.

After crossing to the other side, activate the floating power cell with Axiom Force, then carefully place it into the designated slot. Once it’s in place, use Force Palm to push it firmly into the slot. Finally, step onto the teleporter to return outside.

To finish the Vault of Vengeance puzzle, you need to restore power to the central cog. First, use Axiom Force to pick up the battery on the right, then put it in its slot and use Force Palm to push it securely into place.

Finally, go to the very top of the gear and use Force Palm on it to restore power. This will create a special item, an Abyss Artifact, on the level above. Climb up there and take it!
