Croc Legend of the Gobbos Delayed To 2025

As a dedicated Croc fan who’s been waiting for this moment since my childhood, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing that the Legend of the Gobbos remaster has been delayed to 2025. On one hand, I understand and appreciate Argonaut Games’ commitment to delivering a polished product worthy of Croc’s legacy.

Argonaut Games, the developers, have revealed that they’ve pushed back the release of the updated version of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos from its original December 2024 date to some time in 2025 instead.

In a message posted online, Argonaut said that game will now launch in Q1 2025.

They mentioned that, after thorough thought, we’ve decided to postpone the release until Q1 2025. This decision wasn’t made casually, but rather with the intention of allowing us a bit more time to fine-tune the game so it can live up to our lofty expectations and the quality you deserve.

The statement continues by acknowledging that the news is “disappointing” for players to hear. The team wanted to make sure, however, that the game had the “quality and polish” it needs for release.

They stated that our objective has consistently been to create a game of exceptional quality and finish, one that will undoubtedly captivate you. We value your understanding and backing as we strive to reintroduce Croc in an outstanding manner.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to see Argonaut’s enthusiasm despite the game’s delay. On a recent tweet, they hinted at potential remasters of the beloved Croc series, with Croc 3 being one of them, if the initial release is successful.

“We’ve already stated that if the Croc remasters do well, we’d like to make Croc 3,” they said.
