As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Cronos: The New Dawn by Bloober Team has me absolutely thrilled! Ever since their acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake, they’ve been on my radar as a studio to watch. The blend of science fiction and horror in this new IP is exactly the kind of fresh take I crave in the genre.
Although Silent Hill 2 was recently unveiled, Bloober Team has already moved on to their next project, revealing that they will be releasing Cronos: The New Dawn in 2025.
Bloober Team announces: “Cronos: The New Dawn – a completely new science fiction survival horror game scheduled for release in 2025. This game will be developed for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X and S.
The team notes that ‘Cronos: The New Dawn’ is Bloober Team’s inaugural independent intellectual property in the survival horror genre. This new project signifies a substantial leap in evolution for the Polish studios, who have gained recognition as horror genre experts, especially after the successful remake of Silent Hill 2.
In a chilling twist, “Cronos: The New Dawn” unfolds as a gripping tale of time travel that takes place in the harsh, unyielding environment of 1980s Poland following a post-apocalyptic future.
Characters assume the identity of a Wanderer, representing the mysterious Guild who are tasked with rescuing individuals who perished in the apocalypse from earlier eras.
In order to achieve the goal of the group, players must endure a perilous wasteland born from a massive disaster called “The Change,” teeming with grotesque creatures that will test their battle skills to the limit.

The visuals are ridiculously good, and the audio design is among the best this generation, making it something everyone simply must play.”
