I’m thrilled to share that I’ve just learned Crunchyroll is set to make a massive splash at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, from July 3–6! The lineup they’ve unveiled is nothing short of spectacular. Highlights include the premiere of the first teaser trailer for the anime adaptation of Mongie’s “Let’s Play” WEBTOON, as well as panels dedicated to series like “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,” “Kaiju No. 8,” the upcoming anime version of “Gachiakuta,” and “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle.” This is going to be an unforgettable event for any anime enthusiast!

At Anime Expo 2025, I’ll find myself standing at Crunchyroll’s booth, eagerly anticipating a sneak peek into several forthcoming titles that will grace their platform in the ensuing months. Among the fresh announcements, “Let’s Play” stands out – a webcomic with a gaming theme that has amassed over 700 million total views on WEBTOON. Another exciting revelation is “Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP!”, a new comedic isekai series that promises to be a laugh-out-loud adventure.

“Let’s Play” is the brainchild of Leeanne M. Krecic, a webcomic creator whose work has been on a hiatus since September 2022. The initial announcement for its anime adaptation was made at New York Comic Con in 2023.

What To Expect From Crunchyroll’s Industry Panel

Exclusive Announcements and World Premieres Galore

At Anime Expo 2025, the Crunchyroll stage is scheduled to host at least ten premieres, including extended previews of the upcoming fantasy anime “Clevatess” and “Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse,” which is David Production’s first original anime. On Thursday, July 3, attendees can expect sneak peeks into Summer 2025 anime releases such as the fourth season of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” with voice actor Kaito Ishikawa, who plays Naofumi, in attendance. Additionally, a special screening of the romantic comedy anime “Solo Camping For Two” will take place, featuring voice actors Daiki Hamano and Mizuki Niizaki.

On that inaugural day, a major highlight from Crunchyroll was undeniably the unveiling of the anime adaptation based on Leeanne M. Krecic’s webcomic “Let’s Play”. The spotlight will be on two nominees for the Crunchyroll Anime of the Year Award on July 4, namely “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” and “The Apothecary Diaries“, with voice actresses Seto Asami and Yuki Aoi present. On Saturday, July 5, which is the day of the Crunchyroll Industry Panel, the second cour of “Dr. Stone: Science Future” will premiere its first episode. The Japanese voice actors of Senku Ishigami (Yusuke Kobayashi) and Dr. Xeno (Kenji Nojima) are scheduled to attend the event.

On July 6th, particularly noteworthy, Crunchyroll concludes its Sunday lineup with the Kaiju No. 8 panel. Meanwhile, anime icon Megumi Ogata (the voice of Hanako-kun) will be present, offering a glimpse into the upcoming episodes of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun. At booth #2526, Crunchyroll promises an unparalleled anime experience. Visitors can enter Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle (opening in theaters on September 12) and Gachiakuta (streaming on Crunchyroll this July). The Crunchyroll Store will be situated at booth #2135, offering approximately 30 unique items such as a glow-in-the-dark Kaiju No. 8 Youtooz Vinyl Figure and exclusive apparel from series like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and Shangri-La Frontier.

The Anime Expo 2025 is scheduled from July 3rd to 6th in Los Angeles. On the 5th of July, which is a Saturday, Crunchyroll will be hosting their Industry Panel.
